Lying awake all night is a reason in and of itself to die. The days are long humiliating horror shows and once upon a time I could escape into sleep. Now as I drift off I gave a panic attack over and over. There's no time off anymore. I'm so tired and the lack of sleep makes me cry all day. I want to jump off my balcony and stop just stop. How can you improve your mental health with insomnia? Never ending mental laps around and around like a psychotic episode that has sequels. I'm up to 3 sleeping pills and a melatonin and I don't sleep anyway.

Yes, yes. I see... that's very hard isn't it. It must be incredibly tiring. Have you tried exercising during the day? No caffeine after midday? You should be practicing good sleep hygiene. That means: no electronics an hour before bed. Here, I can give you some print outs I found on the internet. We accept visa, mastercard or cash.

I understand why you feel so tired, it must be really horrible what you go through, I find it so cruel how there's all this suffering in existing. But anyway I wish you the best.

Actually, I'm curious what you're taking OP. Ambien works wonders to get me to sleep (not so great at keeping me asleep). Melatonin is useless. Doxylamine's not great either. Serequal nope. Mirtazapine nope. It's interesting, because the first dose does indeed work at letting me sleep, but it's like my body adapts and the proceeding doses seem to have minimal affect until the efficacy becomes 0.

It's a few days at a time some nights I crash then it starts again . The stress and despair is so intense I'm afraid to try to sleep because driving off is when I can't control the thoughts

It's all over the counter I'm in Canada and ambien is prescription only I asked my doctor but they sent me a referral to psyche treatment since it's because of insomnia and depression. That will take months I'm praying I have the courage to kms before that,

What about making the best of it? You only need something to do, something you are burning for. In this case you could work 24 hours a day.

I feel this. Got habituated to an ultra potent sleep aid and now I can't get proper sleep with or without it. At first it was okay: I'd read books all night. It was nice and relaxing—my favorite part of the day. But now I'm experiencing depersonalization and having memory problems. Sometimes I don't even know what's real anymore.

For the last few months I've been getting 4 to 5 hours max , some nights I don't get any sleep at all. Let me tell you, it gets worse if you don't sleep. I've forgotten most of my times table , I have forgotten movies I've watched and names of people. It's BAD. my joints feels worse than ever , I have diarrhoea almost daily . My sex life has become non existent and I had to leave my work coz I couldn't stay up late working anymore , couldn't focus or anything. It fucks up your entire life big time. Melatonin doesn't work, tried thc gummies , gave me crazy anxiety and made me feel like shit, amitriptyline I became tolerant to, there's all these fancy teas that haven't worked for me either. I've told myself that if it keeps going on more longer I am going to ctb soon. Life wasn't meant for everyone unfortunately

When I had insomnia, my psychiatrist prescribed Lyrica 75 mg. I took it before bed ,after 1 or 2 hours I fell asleep.

Guys, has anyone experienced this? I have dysthimia (or however it is written in English) and it's been getting real bad. I do some remote work and I really can't get myself to be productive alone. I drag whatever little or huge workload that I have to do and don't sleep due to it. The root of my insomnia is this insane depressive procrastination. It's like I have a huge mental barrier. When I'm with ppl, this doesn't happen. Can I maybe have some kind of ADHD? This is insane, I wanna kms so bad

No I don't. Some people said that it also reduces anxiety and sometimes causes euphoria, but this did not happen to me.

I've tried this but if you take sleeping meds regularly you will have a really hard time finding a dose that works. Insomnia if it's recurring is resistant to over the counter solutions in my opinion.

I'm sorry to hear that, seems like you too are in a hell of some sort... maybe there is a way to choke yourself out and pass out that way, but I don't think anyone would want to live like that... I wish you the best, but I sadly know well that words don't do anything.

I wish I had the money to get whatever Michael Jackson's doctor gave him. Dreamless sleep. Maybe even a coma until I'm old enough to die of natural causes

Propofol huh? Yeah, a coma would be nice. I would have still wished it to end by natural causes as well, but sadly I am too selfish and weak, so sodium nitrite it is...

As someone whos name in real life means "dreamer", I do wish you get to experience beautiful dreams and sleep soon, best tonight. I barely had a few, but they were nice... You should be able to experience it too-

Sleep is one of my favorite things because it unplugs you from the world for a moment. When I can't sleep because of anxiety it feels like torture. So I'm really sorry you go through this.

Sorry to hear you are suffering.Lack of sleep definitely negatively contributes to mental health. Recently went thought a period where I slept 5 hours over two days and my mind and heart was racing so much I wanted to run into traffic

I've been suffering with insomnia for about a year. Some nights I'm too awake to even go to bed. Mostly I was trying to function on 2 hours sleep. i mostly didn't feel tired but it would build up until I was terrible suddenly. I asked chatgpt because I was getting desperate. Interestingly chatgpt suggested something called a melatonin reset. It also suggested a very low dose of melatonin because it said higher doses (2mg and up) can be counterproductive, which I also found interesting. Anyway, I've started this melatonin reset as it suggested, been doing it about 4 days and at first it just helped me fall asleep, but I kept waking every few hours and wide awake at 3am, but last night I fell asleep at the time I'd wanted (11pm) and woke at 5.30am so huge improvement. I was sceptical before I tried it, and its early days, but I'm impressed because until then the only thing that worked was exhaustion plus co-codamol at the normal dose plus mild overdoses of cetirizine and melatonin. I'd previously tried all the sleep hygiene thing with dark, no sounds etc but although I dim the lights for a few hours before bed and don't look at screens during that time, I've found I sleep better with a talk show on very low on the radio and a reddish coloured nightlight. And a soft toy. Just my thoughts and experience though. I've never tried sleeping pills (I wouldn't count melatonin as a sleeping pill) because as I understand they make you fall asleep but your quality of sleep is terrible so what's the point.

propofol. It's an anaesthetic drug but it's very short acting and stings like a bitch, even if its injected iv.

My family is going to kick me out of the house if I quit my job again. I don't sleep at all for two days in a row or sometimes just one day I don't sleep the next I sleep 5 or 4 hours. It's difficult to do anything when you're so sleep deprived. So I'm going to ctb before they kick me out. They just pretend like this suffering isn't a big deal

This is a chronic situation. Sleep is a mercy I get in small batches. 10 minutes or even a couple hours on a good night. But it's the same story over and over again.
