Discussion Is a CTB retreat an option?

I'm planning to CTB, but before I do I honestly would like to meet other people who are wanting to CTB. I think we idolize a lot of things that we don't actually want because we see the grass as always greener, so it's hard for me to say if I want to CTB, or I just want to escape from this repeating cycle.
So I think a retreat where people can safely discuss CTB would be therapeutic.
And while I don't think it would change my mind I think it would be good to at the least make a positive memory.

Would it be an option to have a Meetup?
I know a lot of people would twist the agenda direct discussion into some crazy suicide cult bullshit so this might not be possible.
What are you guys think?

Yeah I think it would be possible to have a small group of friends plan to meet up and actually talk,
But to have like some kind of public meet up would definitely get twisted by people who need to look like the good guys to get har- uh I mean, to feel good about themselves.

I knew a guy who was in the Navy for a few years. He said he knew of more than several guys who would get on deck and throw themselves off.

Sounds good in theory, but in reality I would care too much about the risk of safety. Imagine if someone who was pro-life infiltrated this meet-up. They could call the cops, stating how it's encouraging suicide and also getting everyone who showed up thrown in a psych ward. The only time I would truly be ok is if I already knew each person irl or for a really long time outside of any ctb forums.

There would be mass outrage and everyone would just have to deny it. But the issue would be legitimately finding a way to turn down welfare checks, ideally whoever would organize the retreat would have to write it as something completely different so in the event that they are harassed by police they can sue the hell out of them

That's why I think a meet up would be beneficial, but even if it was held with the intention of saving lives by actually trying to explore why we feel the way we do and having community that accepts the way we feel... The problem is outsiders would legitimately see this as cult behavior. Because they're not actually listening we have the right to feel understood. Unfortunately you can't tell a therapist how you feel or they will lock you up and that's reality. So we have to bottle our feelings everyday. But of course... The good guys know best right?

Well I mean it's a matter of meeting with people in your area. And honestly it's in no way full proof.
I will say it's entirely possible because people buy substances that are technically illegal all throughout the world it do it through the freaking mail

A CONVENTION? yeah ... I'm not so good with that many people. I think it would be cool to actually meet a real friend in my area just one, and be able to talk about things for real with no judgment.
That's not a pipe dream. There just has to be a smart way to go about it. I honestly think the most realistic thing would be to create a US flag with variants for your state and have it as like a profile banner. However... Again, you are never 100% safe meeting people from the internet.

Yeah, I'm hopping on rn because I'm in the mood to talk about my AWFUL bout of dissociation. I'm too afraid to talk to anyone, psychologists, or people I'm "Supposed to" talk about these things. My whole life experience as a literal autist is that people will misunderstand then insist THEY are right and YOU are wrong now when you clarify. I'm supposed to put myself at such risk so you could play hero? Only for you to not understand? For understanding to be FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE thanks to my "Unique, one of a kind brain". IRL meeting people who could understand better would be amazing. But in this world, in my life, it isn't happening.

I also disassociative a lot and have have mild autism, so if you want to dm me it's cool. I have found therapy useful literally one time in my life, and respectfully it feels really good to speak without a filter and without fear of someone putting you in an institution if you say the wrong thing or admit that you have maladapted behavior and suicidal tendencies.

I just had a massive panic attack and left my body earlier today and also have some pretty stark autism signs, did I find my people? kidding kidding. It is very refreshing to talk about it even just online. But all contributors have good points , esp. regarding the stigma around bodily autonomy in death and open discussion of ctb. People think that talking about it makes it more likely to happen but it's the opposite. People need more openness, more support, not less. Not to be forcefully hospitalized and swept under the rug like some dirty secret.

In my case, each attempt made me calmer, so there's no way i regret i did it.

But i don't think that's gonna happen with to much people.

If you wana just make your mind clear, you can try therapy.

They will try you to not suicide, wich means you know if recovery is an option for avaible for you.

The point is finding peace, one way or another.

Therapy honestly always runs the risk of being counter intuitive. You are essentially going to someone who is the sponge for many other people's emotions and often they are desensitized to the struggles of others. Respectfully it is not for everyone.

I wouldn't be hosting any meet ups. I'm just fantasizing about a world in which we are accepted ouch I myself with that one
