Is cotton or jute rope good to use for hanging?

I have seen Polypropylene and i think Nylon here, i guess thickness (10Mm-12Mm) and weight that it can handle matters . I myself is going with polypropylene climbers rope of 11Mm. is the Full suspension or partial set up ?

The most important thing in a rope is that it:

- can support your full weight (check the breaking load if you haven't bought it yet)
- can slide smoothly (for example when you tie the noose knot should not get stuck)
- not too thin or too thick, generally about the thickness of a finger will be fine. This way it penetrates the neck well and at the same time has enough area to apply pressure.
- if it has some elasticity, you'll need to be more careful when choosing the anchor point, since when you apply your weight the rope will stretch (if you plan to do Full you could end up touching the ground instead of being suspended)

My rope is static, braided polypropylene, 12mm, it is soft to the touch.

I prefer partial but afraid of the failure rate.

Get a static arborist rope from yale, samson, or Teufelberger (brand) U can buy it by the foot. They are also called kernmantle ropes. please don't use cheap Chinese ropes off Amazon. And make sure u have a proper anchor point.
