I've been depressed and had mental illness for so long that it's probably the only part of my identity that I'm sure of.

I think I've been depressed for so long that I don't know what it's like to not be depressed. So in that sense yeah it is a part of my identity.

Its entirely possible that if I weren't depressed I might be an entirely different person.
