Hello, i think i will be proceeding with the SN method on new years eve. I have all my resources ready including SN and metoclopramide but i don't have any sedatives stronger than quetiapine of which i posess 500mg in 25mg tablets. Is it a valid replacement for things like diazepam or alprazolam? If yes how much should i take?

merely my opinion as someone familiar with that med (I take it to sleep) and benzos (I take xanax and klonopin everyday). it's nowhere near the same unfortunately. it also has a much longer onset than say, xanax or diazepam

edit: the user underneath me said it. it's a completely different drug classification.

I've taken clonazepam and alpra and i know that quetiapine is a lot different but it did make me drowsy than a bitch when i took it so i could sleep in the past. Also i'd say it hit me quicker than xan or clon but maybe i'm wrong..

As would I but i don't have any.
It's a totally different type of drug, google says schizophrenics can take as much as 800 mg daily so what you have is too little. Also found this thing:
Says the levels in blood have to be bigger than 1500 ng/ml, I'm bad at math so I can't tell you how much that is together with sn and other stuff you mentioned
Not really trying to die off of quetiapine. Just wondered if it has any anxiolytic properties.

everyone's body is different! that's why questions like these are good. I see where you're coming from.

since you know how it affects you, if you can figure out the typical time onset of the drowsy feeling, I don't see harm in adding it into your protocol. just be mindful of how close or far taking it is to taking the sn. in theory you don't wanna be too out of it to finish what you're doing.

i would also recommend checking interactions with any of your other pre medications.

xx

Quetiapine is actually a replacement for AE, but benzos aren't a requirement, they'll just make things less stressful :)

If you google it, some studies has found that quietiapine worked on some people when it came to anxiety and panic attacks. The same way low dosages of 25 mg makes some people drowsy and can be used as a sleep pill for them. Although the med was not created for these purposes, it is still being prescribed for these purposes sometimes. Probably wouldn't take a high dosage though because allegedly in the higher dosages (above 100 mg I believe) the drowsy and sleep inducing effect goes away. Not sure if that also goes for the anxiety reduction effect so you'll have to look into that.

Look, it's better than not using anything for your anxiety. The placebo effect if nothing else should be beneficial.

This ⬆️ is what I came to say. There will be a small anti anxiety/sleep inducing element but it's an AE substitute

I took an accidental overdose of Quetiapine in my youth and remember when it kicked in, it actually induced a degree of anxiety and palpitations.

Suggest you hold out until you can source legit benzos. There's a lot of legit etizolam getting around the dark web, often pressed as fake Xanax bricks. Go for them instead.

I feel like taking SN without benzos is asking for pain. I think benzos are the most important thing to take. I have a self harm problem and every time I did it if i took a lot benzos and maybe a couple of beers before I didn't feel any pain. That is why I stopped taking them. It just makes u feel nothing. Its like u dont give a fuck about pain, ur emotions or anything. I feel like taking a lot of benzos and maybe 1 beer on a empty stomach before sn would make this process peaceful as it can get. I have no proof. I just have scars that would most people scream if they cut that deep.

Exactly - different medications. However, if you dont have benzos, what would be the closest medication to replace it? Even though both are diff classes, I think quetiapine or pregabalin come the closest bc they are still depressants of the CNS. Although they are not close to benzos, no.
Try to get benzos is what I actually think is a better advice than go for quetiapine.
Again, @death_bed221 i strongly agree with you, benzos really DO wonders!
