Help Urgent SN Protocol advice, PLEASE, all welcome!

Tachycardia can feel like a panic attack. I would say that's pretty normal. It can make you feel anxious. I've also experienced it.

Tbf I haven't heard any major reports of anxiety. Granted we are getting second hand accounts but I would think those wanting their experience recorded would mention it. What I've mostly seen is the mention of tachycardia. Joe said anxiety wave but that could have been from anticipation of what he was about to do. Check out his account.

That's also why they recommend the benzoes to help with the anxiety, should you have any.

But I've certainly had my concerns about it also. My thinking is it will hopefully be a relatively quick process and I will keep in mind the end goal but I definitely understand not wanting to experience any of that.

I think some people can easily identify tachy for what it is. They've read about it, they're expecting it. They know that a fast heart rate is separate to panic. And that's great.
Based off past experience, my brain DOES NOT LISTEN to the evidence, & insists that it's panic. I think I'm very much in the minority with this. I really don't think it's normal. I hate the idea of other people being scared by anything I say about myself, I'm a really small test group that's for sure . Maybe if it's a fear for someone that's never had tachy, try to experience a small scale version of it so you know what to expect - like looking up SAFE quantities of caffeine or energy drinks or whatever & then trying that - staying safe though, don't overdo it. But that might ease anxiety for someone else - feel the heart rate increase, tell your body it's the caffeine & see if you believe it & use some self-help techniques for tachy to see if they work for you. Like putting your face in ice water or whatever. I understand everyone has fears, I just hate the idea of adding to anyone else's fears - it's not what I want to do to anyone else at all. I am abnormal in most medical things, if that helps. Sorry...

Ah, I didn't know someone had tried this! Very informative. I the little bit of metal is not going to do anything to the SN's effectiveness, just try to avoid contact between the SN powder and metal. This is a good time to remind you to use glass/plastic only! No metal spoons/cups for weighing/mixing!

@Forveleth this piece of advice caught my eye. Is there a reaction between metals and SN? The reason I ask is because SN from DMC is stored in what seems to be vacuum packed bags made from aluminum foil. Any advice gratefully received.

YES! SN + metal = potential rapid reaction. It is dependent on the type of metal, however. For example, SN does not react with pure stainless steel (I could not tell you why, chemistry was never my strong suit). DMC knows what they are doing though so I would not worry about their packaging.

When the time comes for you, use a plastic spoon to scoop your SN and mix it in glass/plastic. Just to be safe.

Not my strong suit either, but have seen repeated reference to plastic / glass only. I can't really remember the DMC packaging clearly, I just remember it was vacuum sealed. The only thing I do remember (sorry...) is people here talking about Mylar bags & such for people to store their SN, so I think it's something like that?? I tested my DMC with both aquarium & blood & both were good & I have faith that any well known seller here (anyone that has their own acronym) would be aware of how to appropriately package, even though that packaging varies by supplier. I'm not sure if I'm actually adding anything of use here...

Ah yeah, you're right. I haven't seen any real evidence of any extreme anxiety in any of those posts either. Recently I've seen a few more people talking about panic and whatnot so I was like oh nooo and let my anxiety disorder get the better of what I "know" to (most likely) be true haha

What are they saying? That people experience panic from an or that they are panicky about taking it?

AFAIK everyone that tested got the expected / hoped for results. It really "seems" to me that most people aren't testing at all if they trust the seller. My anxiety just WOULD NOT allow that though. Or my trust issues. It was a very strange process for me to do the testing though - zero chemistry knowledge, SaSu as my only real research source, going to a pet store & reading all the boxes trying to find one with the right measurements (difficult to receive packages, otherwise would've just ordered the Exit recommended one...), getting advice about blood & going to a pharmacist for a diabetic lancing kit because I can't cut, handwriting all the bits & pieces from everywhere because of my privacy issues & then sitting on the bathroom floor, going through every step, trying not to fuck anything up, worrying that I was fucking it up anyway. And then being stuck here, way longer than I had hoped, seeing in the new year I DID NOT want to see, while nearly everyone I know on SaSu dropped like suicidal flies, using UNTESTED SN (from various sources). I'm "mostly" happy for them but am defs having a petty pity party for New Years.

I can't believe I'm here. It's been a miserable day for me, really having a wallow in such a huge, huge personal failure. I promised myself I wouldn't see it in. Yet here I am, also grumpily complaining about fireworks & happy people.
Tomorrow is another day & I'm going to have to think long & hard about how to proceed from here - what I've been doing hasn't worked so madness to continue.
The pity party isn't constructive so it's gotta be a short party, I'll have to be my own bouncer & kick my own ass out .
I can't let it drag out & can't be patient but also can't rush at last minute.
So, thinking cap on tomorrow.
Look at things from every angle. Find a way to believe 6 impossible things before breakfast.
Or just 1 possible thing, before or after any meal.
But the rest of today is dedicated to eating my feelings (as part of the pity party extravaganza ) & wondering how many other people out there, really, really didn't want today to come for them. I really, really didn't. I feel a bit sick that I'm not the only one...

It's in the resources. In Vizzy's SN bible. I've written about it a lot on here as well. It is not a highly accurate test but I found it reassuring & did it at the same time as the aquarium test. Literally takes seconds.
