How effective is the method? What are the risks? I plan on using a handgun/pistol.

Not if I was choosing firearm as a method. I'd only go intraoral. That's only me though. YMMV.

any way is good if u can hit the brainstem but hitting it from a side is just going to be harder. Generally with a handgun u need to know your brain anatomy quite well so u know where u are hitting as the calibers are not big enough and can leave disabled forever like the person above me said its way better to go intraoral. Much love 🤗

I'm in the same boat bc I can't get my hands on SN so my fallback is a Glock. The research I've done favors temple over mouth for death rates & and is typically faster death than gun in mouth if successful. Do you know if the "home defense" / "self defense" rounds are known to do more damage at close range than regular fmj's? I've tried searching but I'm not nailing down clear info. I'm looking for the most lethal bullet option at close range that is legal in the states.

I was banking on getting a hotel room but my concern is faster 911 response because of the sound. It would take more planning/ research & taking a trip, but renting a boat by myself would be ideal. Maybe being further away from ppl therefore less chance of lifesaving measures being effective? 🤷‍♀️ I still have some kinks to fig out

A pistol won't "blow your brains out" but a large gauge shotgun might come close to that.

I don't have access to a gun but I always thought the best place would be a bit above the ear, about 2 centimeters up from the earlobe, it seems to just go through all the brain and especially the most important parts which are placed closer to the middle. This is what I THINK , I don't know if it would be correct.

What gun will literally blow your brains out

Definitely a lot of shotguns if you do it right. Most of the time, even if you ''do it wrong''. A rare number of people fail using a shotgun by aiming it too close to their faces/upwards though.

How effective is the method? What are the risks? I plan on using a handgun/pistol.

A lot of people do die from a shot to the temple because it can cause something like a chain reaction to the brain and organs it controls, but I've seen cases where it simply doesn't happen as quickly, or puts people in a comatose and disability.

It's better to study where the brain stem is with an anatomy chart and mirror to play safe and go for that, not the temple.

Edit.... too long didn't read; I said a lot of words for ''the temple carries risks of not dying instantly, and a slightly lower success rate than aiming where the brainstem is all together''.

Frontal lobe controls higher brain function.

Brain stem controls the basic life support functions.

Damage the frontal lobe and you basically end up with a lobotomy. Damage the brain stem and it is lights out.

Feel free to do a temple shot, I'll do intraoral or behind the ear.
