  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I follow these rich people on social media and see their posts . Looking at their posts makes me feel so empty and hollow. Their lives seems so beautiful and mine so colorless. It triggers me and brings back the desire to ctb.

Social media isn't always what it seems.

You're generally scrolling at your low moments. People are generally posting their highlights. Its a bad clash.

Some instances are often easily fabricated and almost fraud. (E.g. hiring posh cars or villas to make them seem like your own when they are not)

It sucks so much that nothing can be trusted these days.

Saying the above, I haven't had any accounts since about 2016 because I'm too judgemental and comparative. Even just thinking of what I might be seeing if I were scrolling can set me spiralling. Its so annoying.

It wasn't helped by a friend who excelled in sports once say to me she wish she wasn't elite level so she could travel like I have. While I'm sitting there regretting travelling and wondering how good I could have got if I stayed and focussed on sport!

a lot of rich people kill themselves, famous people ruin their fame by being sexual predators/committing other crimes, i will never understand why they do either one because how could you have everything and ruin it. so clearly being rich isnt as good as it seems if the rich still do those kinds of things

Social media is fake. Remember that nowadays everything is about appearances and materialism.

I usually use social media and only upload content about the nice things I have seen or experienced, no one posts the ugly or bad things in life. So it's like an incomplete story, a half-truth.

And about wealth... it cannot buy health, so...

Stop!!!! Try distress tolerance which is basically from 'dialectical behavior therapy' (dont tell yourself you are never going to look again (total abstinence which just adds pressure) try not looking for 10 minutes, then half an hour , then a day etc etc see how long you can manage without looking - this technique can be applied to most habit forming behaviours. No its not a magic bullet and requires some effort though!!! :)
