Better than ever. Just so you all know.
N is hard to get your hands on, so it isn't a viable method for most people. Meanwhile, SN is still a pretty niche method and most people do not know about.Found that site before SaSu, I don't why it doesnt reference SN or N
It's so postmodernIt's so strange seeing such a modern and professional looking website giving suicide advice...Feels like some kind of juxtaposition.
Yeah I wouldn't just trust some quote from a book when it comes to suicide. You can't beat the word of experience!I've never had any sympathy for a site like this. Lost All Hope is an informational website that claims to discuss suicide methods, lethality, and suicidal ideation, but it has no academic accreditation, peer review, or affiliation with any traditional scientific organization. The information is largely based on past research, often dating back to the 1980s and 1990s, such as from the California healthcare system or from individual studies completed at limited sites that have not been recently peer-reviewed or methodologically updated. While some pages contain quantitative information and reference seemingly authoritative sources, overall the site is highly narrative, personal, and, for the most part, anecdotal, with a subjective tone that detracts from the objectivity and neutrality of its case. The website does not provide verifiable academic bibliographies, does not adhere to the principles of transparency of sources (always the highest priority in our case), and does not adopt a scientific editorial stance that would make it impossible to use it as a reliable source for any investigation into one's preferred method. Ultimately, Lost All Hope is not a scholarly reference work, but an informational database for the crude description of suicide and perhaps a tool for paying attention to language and subjective experience of the topic, but not for presenting accurate, verifiable, and personally useful information.
Certainly. There is also extensive and well-founded scientific documentation regarding the most commonly used methods.Yeah I wouldn't just trust some quote from a book when it comes to suicide. You can't beat the word of experience!
I've never heard of this site before so I just checked it out. It's clear by the "I" references on the home page that this is the pet project of an individual person. Under the "More" menu there are links to the person's personal story and blog.Ultimately, Lost All Hope is not a scholarly reference work, but an informational database for the crude description of suicide and perhaps a tool for paying attention to language and subjective experience of the topic

This is the only safe place I can feel safe posting how I really feel and it comforts me. People always tell me I'm sick but I think it normal and I'm scared to voice my opinions. A lot of stuff has been going on for me and it means a lot that you are responding to me.Years ago, lostallhope was a refuge in dark times. It was my first exposure to uncensored suicide talk and it "worked" for me in a way nothing else did. While it certainly has its limitations, I still consider it valuable. Also, I was much younger and in a very different phase of life, so it's nostalgic for me

Well, the great thing about SaSu is it's hoppin pretty much 24/7Well, I finally reconnected with my sister after 7 years but she was taken back away from me, I thought where she was at didn't want me talking to her but she requested to no see me, she lied and tried to continue lying to me. My friend almost ctb'd and self harmed but he reached out to me instead, my head is starting to hurt and I'm taking pain pills, I just see myself sinking and I want to ctb but I have a wonderful fiancee and a few friends but I'm so tired and don't want to suffer.

I repeat, that site is worthless. You attacked me in two posts in less than five minutes; you don't seem to be acting in good faith. Contact the moderation team, as you've already done to denigrate me. The truth is obvious to most people. You're a small group of four or five users who want to maintain a policy of fear and discredit. Now, go ahead and talk to the moderation team. The dangerous ones are those who give credence to anonymous people on sites like Reddit. You say this when you post things like this. Where are YOUR sources?
What are you talking about, anyway? Lost All Hope has never claimed to have any academic accreditation, peer review, and whatnot. And it does reference research studies, which already makes it better than any of your posts.
You're also contradicting yourself. "Lost All Hope is an informational website that claims to discuss suicide methods". Exactly. Show me an "informational website that claims to discuss" anything and that has academic accreditation and peer review. You don't know what you're talking about, robot.
What does that even mean? Like, seriously. I can understand the words, but what do you MEAN? "Studies completed at limited sites"? My ass! Like, you looked into where the referenced studies were completed... "Recently peer-reviewed"? Dude, show me an old study that suddenly got "recently peer-reviewed".
"Reference seemingly authoritative sources"? Again, unlike your posts, which are not even seemingly authoritative. Where are your sources? What does "seemingly authoritative" mean anyway? Just because a study is old, it's still verifiable and academic, and referencing it absolutely does mean transparency.
For the record, I'm not in defence of Lost All Hope. I don't give a shit about that website. I just wanted to point out the inconsistencies in your post.
Dude...lostallhope is clearly a 1 person project from a person who was suicidal/is suicidal and is trying to shed light on uncensored suicide topics AND explanations around why a person might feel suicidal + recovery. Its not a funded large organisation or a website like SaSu which has thousands of users, its 1 person trying their best. I think you are putting a bit too much of a standard on a 1 man project, if you wish them to change errors or add academic sources, email them then?I repeat, that site is worthless. If you think I reported you, you're wrong. I've never played these games. Anyway, today's attack is as swift as the one the other day, with the same people liking the accuser's post. It's curious that these users, with only a few new posts, are so dedicated to these brawls. A fervor for justice born very early.I did not. It wasn't me who reported you. I posted a reply to the thread with my opinion, that's all, which I deleted later by the way. On the other hand, my post was taken down too and reported by someone as being AI generated — which it was not!
You're just as anonymous as me, and you're voicing your opinion as strongly as anyone else, and trying to discredit others. There is one difference though: unlike others, you still refuse to provide sources and references for your claims!
If you think I reported you, you're wrong.
Your subtle irony.I didn't say that, but good to know.
Anyway, arguing is bad, but at least it's human. :D I might attack you in the future too, as a fellow human lol.
