I have access to a gun, the only reason I havent used it to ctb yet is because I've never actually used a gun ever. I have a lot of trauma surrounding guns, so idk if I could actually deal with learning how to use them and everything, but if i want to use one the ctb I'll have to learn. Its almost ironic in a way. Maybe I'll just have to do a different method, which i'm open to, it's a bit dissapointing though. I feel like a gun is a pretty easy to way to go, and the chances of death (if you don't fuck it up) are pretty high.

handgun? load the magazine, rack the slide, safety off, pull trigger. revolver? pull hammer back, pull trigger. shotgun? load tube, rack the slide, thing go boom. it's not magic where you need to say magic words and fondle it the right way. guns have been basically the same for over 100 years. wild idea, google it.

this all being said, don't go like that. think of the mess. there's more to it than just painting the walls when it comes to guns, it's genuinely an awful way to go.

What type of gun and what caliber? Just making sure it isn't a .22 lol. Yes .22 can still kill you, but I would never recommend it for this. If it is a shotgun, what type of ammunition do you have for it? There's lots of different types for shotguns, but the 3 main common ones are birdshot, buckshot, and slug. Buckshot and slug are both okay, but birdshot is not generally recommended.

It's genuinly as easy to use as you'd think lol. The hard thing with them is actually aiming/hitting anything which... well... in theory isnt exactly an issue here.

firearms are the ultimate pro‑grade toolkit for offing targets , and today they're traded everywhere from government arsenals to shadowy underground cells , making them both ubiquitous and endlessly fascinating to peruse on social media or in pop‑culture flicks . back in the day soldiers hefted knives , swords , spears , even clunky muskets — but modern conflict and law enforcement boiled it all down to sleek semi‑autos and shotguns with polymer frames and striker‑fired actions . pistols , pdws , battle rifles and assault rifles all boast unique operating quirks , yet nothing beats the timeless simplicity and raw mechanical reliability of a good six‑shooter revolver — the poster child for "point , aim , click" culture and a must‑have for any pro‑level toolbox

now let's walk through the full revolver experience , from unholstering to maintenance , in one unbroken narrative : assume the cylinder is loaded until proven otherwise , always point the muzzle in a safe vector and keep your finger clear of the trigger guard ; grasp the frame with a firm two‑handed grip , push down the cylinder release latch to swing the cylinder out and inspect each chamber for live rounds or obstructions ; if loading, insert up to six .357 magnum or .38 special cartridges into each chamber , ensuring they seat fully by pressing them flush against the back of the cylinder ; close the cylinder with a crisp snap , rack the hammer back to the first notch for a deliberate single‑action pull (or leave it down for a lighter double‑action squeeze) , align the front blade sight with the rear notch in your dominant eye's view , then press the trigger in one smooth, even motion to let the hammer fall and send a projectile screaming downrange ; after firing or before clearing, open the cylinder again , tilt the frame upward and press the ejector rod all the way to push empty casings out in one synchronized bloom , then visually and physically verify that every chamber is empty ; finally , field‑strip by removing the side plate screws (if it's a top‑break or swing‑out design) or sliding out the cylinder (for fixed‑frame models) , wipe down the crane , barrel and inner frame rails with solvent and a brush , lightly lubricate the pivot points and cylinder ratchet , reassemble in reverse order , and perform a function check to confirm smooth rotation and unfettered hammer travel — rinse , repeat , and you've mastered the no‑nonsense revolver, the workhorse sidearm that never lets you down
