It looks like there is no defined lethal dose. Im afraid this isn't your pathway

I see. Another alternative I have is prozac but the internet also wont tell me the lethal does. it just says "contact the suicide hotline if u need help bla bla bla". I know over 80mg is like pretty fucking bad but idk if its kill you bad. Do you know anything on that?

Google melatonin.
Look for toxicity and overdose information.
Probably more dangerous than m&m's, but not by much.

ive tried overdoses on ssris, from my experience and many others ive read, it pretty much always fails and just causes you health issues that just make your life worse. it's extremely hard to overdose on these types of meds and they are so widely available so that's somewhat part of why they are "safe". mostly you just get really sick and may vomit if you take too much, headaches can happen too and taking all those pills can be scary, it was a horrible experience for me each time i tried. i hope you can understand and you may want to check the non methods thread if you haven't already

Overdosing is not a method.

There's nothing melatonin would do to completely break your system, I don't think. It's just a tryptopan derived-hormone that regulates your sleep schedule. At best you might have some more serotonin available since your body will see less need of synthesizing tryptophan into melatonin.

OTC and prescription medications are manufactured to be as safe as possible, which includes potential overdoses. Anything you can legally get your hands on is not going to kill you.

Melatonin is a hormone that helps with sleep that is made within your body. A few years ago, a guy accidentally ate a shit ton of melatonin because he thought they weee regular candy gummies. Luckily he was with his friends, but all that happened was that he slept for a long time lolol

So, it's not a good or reliable way to go

I tried ODing on melatonin like 10 years ago, it's now the single most embarrassing thing to tell therapists and clinicians when asked how I've attempted in the past. I slept for a long ass time and felt groggy as hell when I woke up almost a day later.
