This is a very difficult week for me.
We have lost several people this week, at least, and my heart is really heavy. While I'm happy that they're finally free of the pain they suffered, saying goodbye is still bittersweet.
If you didn't know her, please meet my friend @woodstacker. Some weeks ago, she PM'ed me to say hello and ask a few questions.
From message one and thereafter, she was just so grateful to have found this community, and she always expressed how thankful she was for advice and recommendations.
Woodstacker wasn't exactly a social butterfly; she seldom posted on the boards. Instead she relied on a few people for guidance and suggestions. She communicated with me regularly, and went so far as to tell me she thought of me as a surrogate daughter... this moved me profoundly.
I really enjoyed chatting with her. Woodstacker lived in a tropical paradise with her husband, and she had three daughters and three granddaughters she completely adored. She was in failing health, and she never wanted her family to see her as sickly or infirm.
What really impressed me is that this grandmother of advancing years not only figured out tor browser, the dark web, and bitcoin, she advised me with some tips on how she did it, and what perils to avoid. She said she wanted to "give back" to the people that had helped her find her way.
Her last message to me was yesterday; she said she had premeditated with oxy & benzos, and I could tell she was just a bit loopy. I'm so relieved to know that she was free from any discomfort or anxiety.
Her method was Fentanyl.
She wanted me to thank the community on her behalf, so thank you all for making this the welcoming, supportive group that SS is.
