The title thing, today I was talking with my mother and I realized that she is also prochoice because she has seen so many things that she feels that the right to die should be respected

I didn't know what my mother's views on right-to-die stuff until, well, she died.

I had cut her out of my life several years before she died; told my half-brother [same mother, different fathers] to only contact me when she died. He respected my wishes and didn't reach out to me until October 2020 when she'd died. Lung cancer. She was in the process of getting MAID, but it was taking too long. She killed herself through VSED at that point.

That is good to hear. Everyone should be pro choice and respect other peoples right to die. To be pro life means to be pro suffering. I wish you the best.

Not sure if that is right. Even for someone who is pro-choice it is hard to accept that your own son/daughter wants to commit suicide
