  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I implore you, if you are struggling and thinking about getting involved with anyone from those places (neets.net, anything with Incel in the title, anything with "looks" in the title, or anywhere those people go) or those communities, don't do it.

Specifically for young men struggling with loneliness, but also for anyone looking for answers in life: there are multiple paths your life can take from this moment, and those communities have a perfect record for sending you to a darker place.

I'm not saying it's easy or that I have the answers or anything like that. And it's very against my instincts to dismiss groups like that, given that I'm a bit of a contrarian, but they're cesspits, and they always have been. It can always get worse, and they'll make it worse, even if you don't think they did or blame the world and society, etc. They joke about rape, they doxx people, they brag about following women around, they never improve, and they all sign off on that behavior even if they aren't actively participating.

Just don't do it. This community isn't perfect but I'm sure you can find some support and empathy if you are patient. Or seriously walk up to literally anyone and they would be better to talk to.

You shouldn't or else they'll make a fictional Netflix show about you

I agree, and I wish that this forum at least had a decisive policy on this issue rather than just evading the topic.

What we are talking about is directly analogous to other forms of radicalisation, such as neo-Nazi movements or Islamist terrorism, which disproportionately utilise disenfranchised young males and channel their grievance against this or that outgroup. One of the red flags is the cult-like ingroup lingo which dehumanises the purported enemy and propagates a victimhood narrative. There is no way for cultists to evolve past it without the fabric of the tribe being dismantled, so hate can be come a way of life.

Of course, there are all sorts of equivalent movements around the world which radicalise young men , particularly in places where ethnic or religious conflict is ongoing. At a larger scale, there is even a theory called youth bulge which correlates wars and conflicts with a proportionally high youth population.

Back to the topic, no community should normalise this sort of societal cancer. I find the arguments of apologists unconvincing.
* The fact that the majority of cultists stop short of engaging in acts of terrorism does not exonerate the collective.
* The identification with the literal definition of the cult's label is analogous to a 'National Socialist' claiming to merely support a planned economy for a nation-state and denying any association with antisemitism.
* The concept of disenfranchised young men having a self-advocacy movement would only work if based on addressing root causes (poor upbringing, lack of male role models, internet addiction, porn culture, poor life choices, economic disenfranchisement, mental illness, etc.) .

Absolutely. I know how a lot of these chan-adjacent/manosphere groups work through past experience, and another thing I don't see a lot of people point out is that the way these people carry themselves is probably enticing and infectious to insecure young men. There is a very distinct smugness and callousness by which these people operate and interact with the world. Everyone not in on these groups' ideologies, especially anyone who responds to them with outrage, is a dumb normie NPC sheep who gives into groupthink and is histrionically obsessed with morality. "You are the soyjak, and I am the Chad." They often have an unfounded superiority complex for the sole fact their opinions are esoteric and hateful, and that they are in on the loop with internet culture. It probably has an allure to -- like I said -- men who are outcasts, socially awkward, and not confident in themselves IRL, to wear this nonchalant and unaffected facade, when they are anything but. They have this "tough, testosterone-laden" outlet online for when real life can't suffice. A lot of this self-righteous incel mentality, the way I see it, is compensatory and "cope," to borrow from their own terminology.

Ding ding:

Superiority and inferiority complexes are so closely related.

What they want to say is "the fact that I've done nothing in life, accomplished nothing, succeeded at nothing, overcome nothing, contribute nothing, risk nothing, try nothing, etc, actually makes me BETTER than everyone else."

It's a very unhealthy coping cage to avoid the painful truth: "I've got a lot of work to do on myself. I've got a long way to go. I'm not really anything special right now. I've wasted time"

But they form their little group to reinforce the former

Agreed, said disenfranchised young males should leave those toxic forums and come here so we can teach them how to kill themselves instead.

i went there thinking it was for neets. I was very quickly proven wrong.
it felt like incels.is, like exactly the same but slightly dampened. Had to double check the url.
