Good evening everyone) For a month now I have been planning to end my hellish life, but I realized that I can't leave. And all because funerals in Russia are very expensive and people save money for them for half their lives. The cost is an average of 2000 USD, perhaps for the USA this is a small amount, but the thing is that we have low salaries (((Besides, I live in the village, and there is only one organization of funeral services, monopolists that constantly raise prices .My mom works alone and she doesn't have that much money. And I can't die and leave her in this financial hole. My relationship with my mom is not very good, but I don't want her to take a loan because of me. Thank you for giving I have the opportunity to speak out. Now I have to stay on this damn earth and save money. Such a "cool" life in Russia. I can't even die in peace

I think that I would personally prefer to not have a funeral at all. Both my life and death are insignificant and I certainly don't want to be remembered. But it must be tiring being in that situation and it must be hard knowing that you have to wait when all that you want is to be gone. I wish you freedom when the time is right to leave.

Sorry that it is this way for you. Hope you find peace and it really sucks all these things we don't want. My family rituals will always suck because they continue for 14 days. It hurts to think there will be problems for 14 days if I let them recover my body. I don't know what to do either and that's one of the things I am thinking about I don't know if I could figure out what to do before it ends.

this is the only worry i have after i ctb successfully. i looked up the price of holding a funeral in my area the other week and my jaw dropped on how expensive it was. though my family has the means of buying luxury items, i don't come from a rich family and a funeral would break their bank accounts. i feel bad about it, ngl, but the only thing i can do about it is pray and hope to all the gods that they'd be able go get back up on their feet after the financial mess they'll be in due to my death.

I feel the same (Try to save some money, it would be easier for your family.Though you don't have to think about funeral expenses

I'm a girl and they won't let me in there. But I don't want to die there, they can hurt me, but not kill me

There is a small forest near my house, I will not have any problems with this, I think. I do not live in Moscow, so I don't even know if there are forests there, most people live in the center and they don't have access to the forest

Well, there's cremation From what I've seen in videos online, the earth is breaking up and caskets are being exposed and washed up in random places because of bad weather. I plan to put in my goodbye video that I don't want a funeral. If I spent so much of my life alone and have no one to talk to, I don't want ppl coming to my funeral pretending to grieve…..they can go celebrate and jump for joy in private.

Do you have any cheap alternatives? Well if you live in Russia the gas is probably cheap so cremation should not be so expensive. And If you write down in your will that you want to choose cheapest option for your funeral then they have to comply as last will is a serious document held up by law.

It seems so unfair to me that good people suffer so much in this world. Ahah no, everything is expensive in Russia and gas too, because we live in a very corrupt country, but I think that my family will be able to choose an inexpensive funeral option. If I will write my wish in a suicide note, but it will not be certified by a notary (like a lawyer), it will not have legality. I am unlikely to go to a notary, and a simple suicide note for my family will not matter. For example, I want me cremated, but my family won't do it because they are only for traditional funerals. Sorry for writing so much, I'm trying to make sentences easier because I don't know English very well. Thanks again for writing to me, you are very sweet
