Hey everyone!!! I've been gone for a while now but need some insight:(

I have just started this new antipsychotic, olanzapine, and was wondering if it's possible to cause a fatal OD? If so, what can I take it with to increase my chances??? The combination of the drug I'm on currently (mirtazapine) can lower blood pressure but I'm not sure how significant that would be if I OD :( god this is hard

Symptoms of an overdose include tachycardia, agitation, dysarthria, decreased consciousness, and coma. Death has been reported after an acute overdose of 450 mg, but also survival after an acute overdose of 2000 mg.[67] Fatalities generally have occurred with olanzapine plasma concentrations greater than 1000 ng/mL post mortem, with concentrations up to 5200 ng/mL recorded (though this might represent confounding by dead tissue, which may release olanzapine into the blood upon death).[68] No specific antidote for olanzapine overdose is known, and even physicians are recommended to call a certified poison control center for information on the treatment of such a case.[67] Olanzapine is considered moderately toxic in overdose, more toxic than quetiapine, aripiprazole, and the SSRIs, and less toxic than the monoamine oxidase inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants.[33]

I'm not sure if mirtazapine lowers blood pressure though.

The best ODs are described in the PPeH. Olanzapine is not mentioned there.

Here's info about ODs:

It doesn't, at least not by itself. With the combination of both drugs it can. I have twice daily visits from the psych unit home treatment to monitor my vitals which is a pain

May I ask for which health issue they gave you Olanzapine? Is very dangerous medication. Ruined my health, my life, affected my ability to function, affect my decision making negatively. Ruined my life. Led to unreasonable weight gain of which i was not warned and to permannet body dissfigurment due to said weight gain

They haven't said quite yet but they're investigating bipolar. It's mostly to help me settle at night, I get flashbacks often

Yeah, but that is problem. You shouldn;t be really given any medications unless proper investigation takes place.

In my case they made mistake. My delusional GP confused my other conditions(chronic pain, ADHD, and all symptoms I suffer/my coping mechanisms) + my disclosure of living in massive and major fear due to what Human traffickers did to me(as they still live and operate in area and where I am currenty living not that far from where I was trafficked-one of places where I was trafficked and exploited; and I can't move anywhere else due to money constraints, overall life picture and big picture of location x my health conditions). Living nearby triggers me, and I am not letting anybody now suggest to me any psychaitric illness/feed me some sickening pills, and confuse my real life fear of SPECIFIC ppl(where they threatened my life and threatened me with physcial injury, and where I was physically violated by them in past) with 'schizophrenia/being paranoid'. Like she got it all wrong.

And she got it wrong bcuz she was not honest with me, rushed thru things, she convinced herself to some false beliefs about me already years ago(like prejudice) and hasn't been objective due to false belief she have convinced herself to have.

Like I am not settled in night and life, and never will be unless my pain is treated and bcuz of how long they been failing, my pain from chronic LOCALISED pain, has transforrmed into full body neurophatic pain and I need to be treated more than likely with ketamine infusions and I am about 10 months away from appointment alone, and even when I go, then considering their speed, it will be likely another 1-2 years to get treated.

Well. If you decide to go for antipscyhotics, I'd say take Aripriprazole over Olanzapine(I was taking it too). I mean it had NO positive effects on me, but it also gave me NO MAJOR HARM

It's a pretty safe drug.
Drug ODs don't work dependably with only 14% success rate & that includes fentanyl & protocol.
There's a higher chance of physical disability and more suffering.
Please read the sticky thread "non methods to never attempt".
I hope you can find peace but OD is not the way to do it🌹💔

I've oded on this before, along with a hand full of other psych meds.

I mean, I almost died if that was anything, my heart stopped but I lost consciousness way before that, had a seizure. Woke up the next day twitching, and covered in vomit. I really hope this doesn't happen to you, because I couldn't stop twitching for days afterwards. Maybe it was the cocktail I had taken. Good luck.

Nah, the meds they prescribe you-antipsychotics, antidepressants, propanofol(or something like that) are ot enough to cause lethal OD. We wish. Mostly vomit/you will be sleeping it off 48-72h and wake up sick. I haven;t tried but have very basic pharmacology knowledge as I intended to study it and finish as degree.

In UK is not possible to OD/die without pain. Medical care doesn;t exist and assisted suicide in not allowed. Welcome to modern XXI century suffering, slavery and sickness.

Could you go into more detail about how much you took and in what combination?
