Taiwan to change passport, fed up with confusion with China

Fed up with being confused for China amid the coronavirus pandemic and Beijing's stepped-up efforts to assert sovereignty, Taiwan said on Wednesday it would redesign its passport to give greater prominence to the island's name.

Wish I could get a Taiwanese citizenship but even though my parents both being Taiwanese citizens means I can apply for one myself, apparently even at 28 years old I'd still be required to do some military service first before getting approved.

I'd be pretty keen to take up citizenship from Taiwan too,
but last time i checked they don't take refugees.

If oneday there's opportunity to help defend democracy, I'd definitely volunteer to take up arms in asia-pacific region.
