I've seen a lot of his videos. I'm a fan of his exercise regimen. But I don't care for the supplements. I don't think supplements have quantifiable data showing how they improve us. The only supplement that is shown to help you is creatine for muscle building. Whey protein helps. But that's just food. This guy has like a huge list of supplements he uses. I've been using a ton of supplements over the years myself. For everything from the gut microbiome to mental acuity and physical health. I don't really feel like anything has helped.Fish oil also has some good studies. Fish oil might help.

Also, his sleep schedule is absurd. He can do that because he has money and he's retired and he has a mansion that's insulated from the world. I'll agree that being able to sleep like that is very good for your health, probably more than anything else, but at the same time that's not really feasible for normal working people like me.

My 3 thoughts while reading this:

Wtf???

Normal people do not have the money, time or energy to put in for a lifestyle like this.

I would find it super ironic ( and tbh I hate saying this, but I would find it slightly funny) if he wound up dying suddenly like by getting hit by a car or something. That 111 supplements will have been well worth it.

That's probably how he will go. Life can be cruel that way.

I heard he did change his schedule a bit and it is a bit more budget proof now.
It's also more about probability, it might not affect his fate at all lol.

I always get annoyed when rich people act all-knowing while it's really abstract.
For most neurodivert and disabled people his patterns are probably not even possible, so his method is not inclusive either on that side.
Only the seemingly good people seem to profit the most.

Good chance this is all some kind of bullshit to make sales with his ads.

I don't really relate to anyone who wants to extend their life, even in a more youthful condition. I suppose I just see it as kind of quant. Nice that they found something in this world that they want to remain here for. A kind of- good for them but, that's not for me!

I stopped caring about anything related to his regime or living forever ideas when I got wind of how he treats people, specially women

Like all his employees have to sign a document that states that nothing he does is "unwelcome, offensive, humiliating, hostile, triggering, unprofessional or abusive." even sexual advances or when he is walking around naked during work.
Also a ton of non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, a TON, very extreme and harsh ones which is like not shady at all
His ex-wife too who he dumped, fired and kicked out when he learned she had cancer cos it could affect his own health. And also he legally and financially exploited her, lied to her and abused her and a long list of henious things I won't get into along with whatever else he did to her and others but they can't speak out about.

boop https://truthofbryanjohnson.substack.com/p/the-truth-about-bryan-johnson and an NY times big article too and more

of course he denied all this and smeared her with more lies and shit on insta :)
which she can't respond to because I guess she just doesn't want to, no like she can't for reasons :)

so
I don't he gives a fuck about humanity based on how he treats humans. I think he only cares about human-, and I know which one.
fuck him

Yea he seemed to be a creep with a main character syndrome and more things that are off about him, I'm not suprised you mention this at all.
If you have to do all that and live a life of worrying about death to live longer, what's the point of living longer?
If you like doing the chores, then why not lol.
Gym culture doesn't excist for nothing.
Each their own I guess though.

Something about him seems off. Over 100 supplements. Not eating after 11am. I don't think potentially eeking out another couple of years doing that stuff is worth it personally. I also don't really trust it would work. People like to go all in on perfecting one thing for health, his is sleep, but it's just one of a million factors that affect longevity and more importantly quality of life. I wouldn't want his life.

Side note: I've encountered the lawyers that pushed his ex-wife's case before. They're renowned for trying to use the legal system to bribe celebrities to give exorbitant hush money for things they made up. It's gobsmacking they're still allowed to operate. So I'd take the ex-wife stuff with an absolute grain of salt. I'd be confident there's very little in it, especially after learning he stayed with her for years after the cancer diagnosis, helping set up her foundation, and then after her case was thrown out for being entirely based in lies and she was required to pay defamation charges, he donated all of it to her foundation and requested that she contribute as little as possible and the lawyers covered most of it

But I wouldn't bother with him anyway for the other reasons.

Dang I can't really waste much my time with rich folks overcomplicated court cases, but I'll guess I'll have to look into it for some more some day to see which side. What I read in the past I was a lot more convinced on her side, that I remember. The guy is indeed incredibly shady and shitty regardless. Maybe they both suck, can't say until I look into it again. I wish he had enough money to not need to promote himself constantly and vanish already

I think he's just a really rich guy, blessed by generational wealth and whatnot, trying to cosplay as an intelligent person. I don't really care for him much though as he doesn't pop up on media as often as say Elon Musk, or Jeff Bezos and other rich white men, so he's tolerable for now.

I always kinda liked Arnie "The Oak's" comment about how to train to be a world class bodybuilder, "First you got to pick the right grandparents".
Few movie stars lived as wild or mistreated their bodies like big Bob Mitchum, but the dude lasted well.
