• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I find this particular conflict very interesting.. more interesting than the war itself is the way people around the world seem to be split between their ideologies and their government's ideologies. I say this because a huge rally in support for Palestine took place in New York. At the same time the president has gone on record claiming support for Israel. I want to know the point of view from anyone who'd be willing to share. (Personally I hope that this war is one step closer to Armageddon but that's just me lol)

With what little knowledge of history I have, I stand on Israel's side. That is not to say that I do not condemn the killing of Palestinian civilians. Hamas, an Islamic extremist terrorist organisation is responsible for the war going on right now, and the Palestinian populace were wrong in placing their faith in them. Hamas will certainly lead Palestine to ruin and they have to be stopped. The only force on earth who can manage this is the Israeli Defence Force.

Ultimately, I feel like this will just lead to more discourse in the future. 100 billion dollars got sent from the Biden administration to Israel/Ukraine whilst 9 billion dollars of student debt forgiveness gets cancelled. Ultimately this conflict ends up being bigger than just an endless war over who gets what.

It's not right how other governments are turning this into some class of foolish power play when innocent civilians are dying all around. Unfortunately this is the way of the world, and this is how it will be until everyone dies for the ambitions of a few old rich men.

I am a little afraid that my country (Turkey) will join the war. It has been weakened for the last few decades and if it tries to fight against Israel, we will surely turn to dust. Turkey's support for either side is 50/50.

The nature of man is one of cruelty and destruction. Unfortunately we get to witness it all with nothing but the lie "For the people, By the people."

the divide is interesting, but also a good thing.

in the past, when it came to discussing the conflict, there was definitely more support for Israel in the west and considerably less pushback.

now, it seems like it's changing for the better. divide is considerably lower and the politics of the issue are rapidly changing, especially because of technology and the internet shedding light on the reality of the conflict.

it's caught many off guard, including Israel. hence, the investment in further manufacturing consent by paying for Twitter and YouTube advertisements and social media influencers, which many people can see through. also going back and forth arguing with public figures from their official accounts, the extent that they're going to with their propaganda (trying to appeal to swifties).

feels like, for the first time in forever, there is some focus on solutions to the conflict instead of a steadfast. unfortunate, it took the massacre of Israeli civilians and the brutal response by the Zionist regime against Palestinians for people to wake up again and the international community to take a discussion about solving the conflict seriously again.

personally, i hope we are trekking towards finally putting a stop to the bloodshed. innocent civilians on both sides shouldn't bear the consequences and pay the price for the actions of the Zionist regime. the end isn't simply wiping Hamas off the map, but a political one that finally takes steps to address the root cause of the conflict.

What about the agenda? And let's face it, the amount of money the US have send over the Israel for all these years? Their military is far more advanced, and they are allegedly paying influencers to spread lies about Palestine? Essentially it is no longer about who started it, it's about who is doing more damage, who is being killed far more, the crueler side, the side with more money on their side and etc. And most of the Israelis are going on social media happy that innocent children are dying, being cruel on social media, getting upset over people sadness for the children of Palestine and throwing fits over small stuff. That's not the actions of an innocent group. That's the action of a guilty party. And their fights dates back years prior, why are we focusing on the recent when none of what happened recently would've happened had they not done all they did years prior. So many things make them look bad, I don't understand how we could ignore that and say we're on Israeli sides. It's about the children dying. The proof we have in front of us. You can't pick on someone their entire life and expect them not to fight back. Had it been two people, I feel like a lot of us would've understood more but because it's a country, we want to choose to be ignorant and take the side that's easier.

i think how you're feeling resonates with many people who are finally pushing back.

again, the internet has done wonders to change the perception of the conflict by shedding light on the reality of Palestinians and the brutality of the Zionist regime. people aren't as clueless anymore and it's much harder now to lull westerners into falling for propoganda.

hence, like you said, the Israel social media accounts throwing fits and lashing out on people. it's honestly hilarious! lol. starting fights with Taylor Swift fans after being called out for lying, going back and forth with influencers like the Hadid sisters, etc. and then, the twitter posts and youtube advertisements that they're continously promoting? reeks of desperation and people see through it.

i mean, look at what's happening in tel aviv. the families of the hostages protesting in anger over how the regime is handling the situation and jeopardizing the safety of their loved ones.

we'll still have people who are oblivious to what's happening and continue to back the actions of these warmongers. but honestly, i'm happy for the most part about the change in opinion, especially amongst younger people.

imagine if we had social media in 2003. it would be nuts.

Well they are both fighting over territory and to me, it is like the Muslims vs the Jews. It's a nightmare over history, religion, and land. I wish they could live side by side in peace, but it's not looking good right now. Will there ever be peace in the Middle East? That's the question.

I don't know if this is a bad take or not, but I really don't understand people picking sides. Israel seems to be just as bigoted and disgusting as Palestine, and vice versa. In many ways, I think they are made for each other.

I feel sorry for the uninvolved civilians on both sides, and it would be nice if a peaceful resolution could happen. But I don't think they're going to quit fighting, and I don't think I'd really care if both nations were mutually destroyed.

Personally I don't care about neither.

Neither have ever done shit for me. Why is it my responsibility to suffer inflation so one country can have weapons, then the other country aid?

Aren't other countries supposed to budget for this shit? Gaza isn't that big, why does Israel need so much fucking money? Are Israelis that incapable of handling things by themselves? Are Gods chosen people soft like snowflakes?

And Gaza, what have they ever contributed to anything at all? Do you just support them because you have more virtue than the other side? I promise you the other side believes the same thing.

Does Gaza have tourism? Do they have anything anyone even cares to go see at all? What have they done? What about Gaza says "hero's of the world" to you? They are just another country, another religious group that isn't our responsibility.

Everyone is so quick to suck dick these days for their "political identity" that all I ever hear is two choices. I haven't heard an original idea or had an original conversation with anyone in fucking years. Just 1 of 2 choices they heard on the news.

Imagine you are on the playground and two kids are fighting over who has the name of sky daddy right. Do you just throw fucking money at them until they're done fighting? Breaking them up or letting them duke it out is obviously some irrational idea because it doesn't align with one of two political identities.

Lmao, how is Gaza/Palestine supposed to have tourism or contribute anything to the world when they're stuck in a concentration camp, deprived of water, food, electricity, medicine, and fuel, have their children taken as political prisoners, denied post secondary education, denied the ability to leave, have herbicides sprayed on their farmland, have bombs dropped on them as they flee following Israel's evacuation orders, etc etc. Also, the "2" political parties are both in agreement that Israel should be supported so idk where you're getting the idea that there's only two choices when I'm clearly spelling out a third point of view that isn't aligned with either political party. Stop trying to be edgy and go and look up actual facts about the situation first.

Yes because you are told it's part of your political identity that's why both sides are for it.

Sorry you lack the ability to think for yourself.

Don't other countries have governments and budgets for their own wars? If not maybe these countries shouldnt exist in the first place if they cannot be responsible with their own money. If gods chosen people are incapable of taking care of themselves then maybe their God isn't so great?

Why should we budget for wars then if someone will just come and bail us out?

Oh wait Isreal has never done shit for us but I'm sure they would spend billions on sending us monetary aid when we need it. Just like they all did when 9/11 happened

Don't we already send them billions EVERY year? Are Israelis so unintelligent and weak they need the big bad Americans to protect them?

You do realize these are the irresponsible choices Congress makes that keeps our country in debt and our inflation high? Maybe Israel will bail us out of that debt?

What would people do if we didn't stick our nose in their business and for us to tell them how to think?

How loud can you baaaaahhhh for your virtue you sheep?

Haven't heard an original thought in fucking years because you all sounds like annoying ass virtue parrots.

If y'all care so much why aren't you taking out loans and sending your own fucking money? Maybe you should add to your own deficit if you are so virtuous? You wont though because your a pussy who would rather make everyone pay for it.

Do people not understand we are in a deficit? How dumb are Americans? How dumb are you?

Ofc we shouldn't send money to Israel, they're committing a genocide. As already explained, Palestine can't take care of themselves because… THEY'RE IN A CONCENTRATION CAMP AND ALL OF THEIR RESOURCES ARE CONTROLLED BY ISRAEL. Jesus fucking Christ why is that so hard to get you to understand?? And how am I a sheep when 99% of American politicians disagree with me lmao??

Neither side is any of our fucking business.

I don't give a shit about Gaza. I don't give a shit about Israel. Neither side would ever do fuck all for you but at least you can virtue signal by sticking up for Gaza.

Why don't you send your own money to Gaza if you care so fucking much? Or do you just go around screaming this shit to show everyone how much virtue you have?

can you calm down?

what you're doing by going back and forth is becoming argumentative and single handedly derailing this thread. it prevents the conversation from being productive and stops it from pushing forward.

quit being provocative. @The Eeyorish One mentioned where they stand on the matter and so did you. if you disagree, simply disengage, especially if you "don't care" as said, instead of trying to argue and start flame-wars.
