• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Hello. this is my first post, I am sorry if I misunderstand the forum's format.

I'm well aware that cutting is not reliable as a suicide method and has a success rate so low its practically non existent, but I've found myself considering suicide by cutting again.

For years I've been self harming as a coping mechanism, not expecting to die from the wounds, but i recently found myself capable of reaching muscle tissue with a single slash of a razorblade.

I was wondering if I should try to cut as close as I can to the radial artery. I've seen a few pictures of both successful and failed suicide attempts by slit wrists, and most of them had cuts that reached the hypodermis/ fat layer, which i know i can do with relative ease.

And if I turn out unable to reach the artery, it's just a regular relapse, with little to no drawbacks that I don't already have to deal with on a regular basis. I'm covered in hideous scars, I'm pretty sure I have damaged my insides to some extent by now and I have also been to the mental hospital now, I wouldn't have many added risks by cutting in a conveniently potentially lethal way, would I?

It really is not a reliable method at all, even if you manage to cut into an artery It could still clog.

If someone decides to slice their throat it could possibly work.

No, you would need to go to a hospital for it. You are going to definitely need stitches at that point, plus you'll need to have medical professionals look at your arm to determine how bad the damage is and to see if you need surgery. You are going to probably end up just going to end up disabling yourself.

Several years I ago I accidentally cut too deep and hit an artery in my upper thigh. My foot was wet with blood the next second. I lost consciousness and it clotted in my "sleep." When I regained consciousness it had stopped bleeding but there was blood everywhere and I now have permanent nerve damage. I didn't get it stitched.

I've been cutting for years, its one of my better coping mechanisms. If you cut an artery, chances are you will die. You can get infections from cutting, your skin is the largest organ that your body has. Cutting is my way of coping, hanging will be my way to leave this life of pain.

Cutting the throat is more reliable but it has to be a sharp tool, AND you need nerves of steel. You might damage muscle, tendon and nerves so if you are scared easily the method will not work. And Indian man actually ctb by cutting his own neck really quickly with a machete I think. But he did it fast.

it's probably unlikely to actually kill you but like if you were gonna relapse anyway you could theoretically try to do that but then you might end up with some other complication and not dying, like some permanent injury or something, so like its on you if you wanna risk that really

(also wtf how do you reach muscle in 1 slash what is your secret im ngl reading that made me kinda jealous even though it really shouldnt, i cant even reach beans. is it just something you get good at by doing it more?)
