  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

There are trees recommended for hanging that are to be completely avoided. I am referring to those in the appropriate threads. For example: the fir, how can you recommend the fir for hanging with the branches it has? The most suitable trees are: The Oak, for its structure and lateral branches are very suitable. The Beech ( Fagus Sylvatica ) Chestnut ( Castanea Sativa ) Elm ( Ulmus minor ) Ash ( Fraxinus excelsior ) --------- Forget about Pines, Larches, Cypresses, etc. completely. ---------- Branches of at least 18-20 cm in diameter without forks, mushrooms, holes. angled insertions near 90 degrees horizontal, protrusion length at least one and a half meters 2. All the trees I mentioned work but are in order of resistance. Guys, I know those branches, not because I studied them in books, but because I actually used them. In the mountains, with my uncles, we used the low branches of oaks and beech trees to pull up bags of chestnuts, bundles of wood, and even quarters of freshly slaughtered pigs, when it was necessary to bleed the animal hanging in the open. We also loaded them with 150–200 kg distributed, using pulleys or ropes pulled by hand. The branches held everything. When you live in the mountains, the tree is part of the work: you use it as a hook, as a lever, as a support. And if it gives way, you know immediately. So yes, trust me: I actually tested those branches, and not as a joke.

If a tree has no suitable lateral branches you have to hang directly from the trunk. Put a noose around the trunk, little braches are sufiiciant to prevent the noose from sliding down.
