Help Private messaging

How come when I try to private message someone, the screen just goes blank and the message doesn't send?

If anyone could help with this I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

You need a certain post count, around 30 or 50 and it will automatically work.

Use the private conversation feature instead of private chat. It should work. Private chat doesn't work properly on some devices.
