  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Sometimes I notice people say about certain songs 'I want this to play at my funeral.' So... what time during funeral will be these songs played? There hasn't been any music in funerals I've been to. There is the ceremony when they lower the body into the ground and then there is eating afterwards. So there has to be some music stereo system in funeral? I was always curious about what time the music will be played.

No-one ever cared about my music taste anyway. So giving attention to songs that were meaningful to me during life after I'm dead has no point. I think I'll have to write a note that please cremate me and no funerals for me. My life was cringe-worthy.

Here in the UK cremation is the most common method, any I've been to have a TV and stereo available for those who require it. You can probably request what music before and after, I considered doing my own photo/music dvd for it. Also thought about doing a dvd of myself conducting the ceremony that they could just stick on.

At the funeral of my grandmother they had us wait outside the chapel and once we were permitted to enter they played a song according to her wishes over speakers in the chapel, as we entered it. Then, after the funeral guy held a eulogy, they played another 2 songs.

I don't plan on a funeral. I want to be cremated. But in the event these assholes want a funeral for me, I want Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd to be played.

Thank you people, I got my answers. The chapel here in my town I would be in, is a tiny, cold, creepy place, I think music would sound really bad there anyway.

I suppose its up to you. I had Caledonia by Dougie McLean at my husbands funeral. This was his favourite song and it's kind of a classic where I'm from.

Some I've been to have songs t the start, end and in the middle. Some times they have a slide show of pictures from their life and have it playing at the same time, sometimes if it is a hymn it'll happen in the middle of the service to break it up, some times at the start and sometimes at the end when people are moving to the herst. I have been to some though with no music.
