• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

This is more like a rant rather than a vent to be honest.
It's genuinely feels so pathetic to sh as a guy (even tho it isn't, it's just coping)
I feel like most men hate seeing other men suffer, but at the same time they won't help them with their suffering. I have seen women supporting eachother a lot, but i have almost never seen the same with men (maybe it's just me)
I feel like a lot of guys ctb because the lack of support from other people.

I'm a girl but I definitely agree. I feel like men suffering doesn't get enough attention. I think these things should be taken seriously regardless of gender

From my experience guys just don't know how to handle this kinda thing. So if their male friend is struggling they tend to ignore it, or try to help by changing the subject. Women will offer some support, but it's often just a generic empowerment or sisterhood message, then they just kinda move on.

As much as we want it, I just don't think we are gonna find the support we need in this world, no matter what gender you are.

This is 100% the case and is a HUGE problem in modern society. Men are taught very early on not to talk about their feelings or show them and it is absolute bullshit. Y'all have feelings JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER HUMAN and showing them is NOT "weakness". But guys can't talk about feelings so they bottle until they feel backed into a corner and then suicide become the only way out.

There's also this fucking stupid stigma that supporting each other like bros makes you "gay". Guys aren't even allowed to fucking touch each other anymore and it's fucking making everyone sad and lonely.

Dude, I totally feel you. I don't judge anyone for their actions based on gender so if you have to sh to let it out as a man, ok! It sucks that that is where you are at in life but (to me) being a guy has nothing to do with it because anyone can get to this point.

Big hugs and lots of internet love to you man. 🤗

This is what the gender binary wants. The whole society we know is structured in this way "things for women", "things for men". However, there are exceptions, they give us people who reject binarism. Gender studies highlights "that gender behavior is learned" and that gender roles do not remain unchanged. Gender norms and expectations are specific to a particular society, even though the Man-Woman dichotomy is presented as universal. Gender presents itself, therefore, as a socially constructed reality, not a biologically given one. We are men and women when we are recognized by society as such, and the group assigns roles along the gender demarcation line. No subject can be extrinsic from its context. It will be the interaction of environmental, biological, cultural and political factors that will build gender identity. Therefore: "ideology supports the naturalness of the system: it absolutizes it in an ahistorical way, concealing its substantial transience". It is also important to highlight that gender systems in countries of the Global North have largely followed the binary model, but in the rest of the world this has not always been the case. Examples are: India whose deities go beyond the gender binary; South Asia and the Hijra community, made up of people who were assigned male sex at birth, but who identify as women; the Native American communities whose members, defined as two spirit, enjoyed esteem within the group, because they contained within themselves a female and a male spirit.
Ultimately men and women are equal.
Genders are constructs of a sick and sexist society

As a female I can't say I completely understand. But I know male stereotypes hurt how people perceive each other and themselves. Maybe it's better to support the male friends around you enough to make them feel comfortable to support and break through those stereotypes. I know that might sound abit stupid, but someone's got to break the cycle. Remember male or female to always be a shoulder for a friend. You'll never know what that can truly do for someone when they're at their lowest. I know I'm no one to you, but know you're not pathetic. Your strong for still being here today, it takes A LOT. I'm here if you ever need a shoulder ❤️ Don't be scared to reach out. However in saying that, talk to your friends about how you feel first. I'm sure they'd listen and be the shoulder you need. Strangers shoulders should be a last resort when no one close will take the time to listen or care for you. Take care, sorry for blabbering for so long 😅
