SN and fasting: Should someone fast the entire day before taking it?

I personally would like to do that, but Stan's thread recommends to fast at least 8 hours beforehand. Does it have to be exactly 8 hours like he said or can someone just fast the whole day? Would like to hear your thoughts.

As Stan has said, even if you are having surgery you don't need to fast the entire day.

You can fast the whole day if you want. Physically it's unnecessary, but if it's emotionally reassuring then do it. Remember ❤Stans regime should be used as a loose guide, you need to tailor it to meet your specific needs.
