In the PPHB, Sodium Nitrate is given a 7/10 on peacefulness of death. Sodium Azide a 6/10.

Most people here, i assume USA, talk Sodium Nitrate.

In at least, my EU country's 'end of life community', there is mostly talk about SA.

Is there other reasons besides Peacefulness why most people here discuss only/mostly SN?

PPHB doesnt really discuss major differences besides a table on some stats such as peacefulness of death etc.

Anyone in EU who has already 'scouted' for the availability of SN vs SA?

Also, is there a distinct difference in process of how death occurs, for example 1st becoming dizzy, 2nd headache and how long until unconciousness etc etc?

You need sodium nitrIte, not nitrAte. NitrAte will not work.

Yes, thank you for the correction.

Anyone in the EU, who has already made the choice for either SA or SN ?

And possibly an insight into availability in EU?

I have SN , no longer possible to get from the source I got as they closed borders to outside countries for specific products (SN included), haven't be visited by police or anything as it was a public source. (Edit: at least this is the case if I understood correctly some thread that was here like 2 months ago, maybe it was a different source however.)

(im talking about EU, not USA)

Easy i dont know. I think there might be a few suppliers for the country i live in.
Ive heard you need some details before ordering though. Its actually only meant for companies.

Sodium azide is generally considered a very toxic chemical and is usually only sold by chemical suppliers to laboratories or researchers.

If you look at the information in the PPH, sodium azide has much fewer eyewitness reports and information in general on it. it can take hours to lose consciousness while still experiencing a good bit of unpleasant symptoms. There also are apparently some cases where people can take it and live, so death does not seem to be guaranteed.

Overall, it is more difficult to get than SN and much less pleasant and still possibly slower. So, SN is much preferred.
