• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Youre talking about young kids. Im sure most of us are adults here. Also if someone is getting their head smashed in its probably for a reason, as shitty and wrong as that reason may be.

Again, he should be calling the police if there are people throwing bottles at him.
Disagree with that. Some people are just cunts and will do shit for no reason other than for their own entertainment.

Well, you don't know how old the person who said that is. Teenagers throw shit at each other too. Adults in their 20's do too. That person said they've HAD glass bottles thrown at them. They could be 21 talking about something that happened at 18. How do you know? My life history is more fist fighting or being followed and getting into beefs. Plenty of shit that I've forgotten about at this point. I'm gonna be 27. But I did have a rock thrown at me once that I can remember......and it was two adults in a dark parking lot at the beach....and that was only a few years ago. So if you are unable to understand human nature then you clearly lack life experience. Shit happens. You've got to be able to deal with it and take control of the situation.

Edit: And fuck the police. Handle it yourself like a man.

I have worked in the bar industry for years. Technically what you are saying is true, there is probably a reason. However that reason doesn't have to do anything with the person getting bottles thrown at them. I have seen very very very stupid behavior from "adults".

Hell one time I watched someone push a lady in a wheelchair into a cement block and knock her over. There was no reason besides "this would be hilarious and she is so fat she can't get out of her wheelchair." (Obviously we helped her and got the cops involved. Truthfully the person that did this is lucky to get out with little more than a bodyslam. The lady in the wheelchair was beloved by the staff.)

People are cruel man. You'd be surprised at the justifications I've heard over the year for some really shitty stuff, which by the way has had NOTHING to do with the person on the receiving end. Some people really just find amusement in fucking up someone's day.

Sometimes that person is getting their head smashed in simply for fighting back. People are cruel. And if you're different than the majority of "normal folk"....a black sheep....then that makes you a target....and there are people out there who will start shit and follow you throwing stones until you react...and things escalate...next thing you know, one of them is getting knocked all over the block. That's why you've got to be able to take control of the situation and handle things yourself......so that it's the other person who's getting knocked all over the block, and not you.

I'm 28 now, so the bottles being thrown at me thing happened when I was a teenager. I lived in a very rough area at the time, a small town where a lot of young people liked to cause trouble. If you didn't fit in any way you were seen as an outcast. Also, sometimes there doesn't have to be a reason, some people will just outright not like you. You can be in the wrong place at the wrong time, many different reasons, etc. Maybe I should of called the police but I wanted to get out of there and home as soon as possible. Another factor is that I was a female on my own and there were several of them. I can hold my own at times but in that situation it's better to walk away I think.

On another note I remember reading about the Sophie Lancaster incident that happened here in 2007.

Ok apologies for being too critical and sorry for what happened to you. Its just when you say things like "bottles thrown at me for just existing", youre making it out like they did it because you feel shit about yourself, like a paranoid negative feedback loop that many people also use for attention seeking (fabricated stories). Wrong place at the wrong time thats all, hope youre out of that shithole.

Also most of the time people werent laughing at you, they were laughing about something else. Although kids can be cruel.

Yeah, that makes sense. I admit my wording there wasn't too good so sorry about that. Apology accepted. I'm out of that place now.

I just got back. Decided to use Election Day as an excuse to drink. I bought my beers and everything was going smooth until I walked out side.

I passed this one woman and she started laughing at me and trying to cover it up with a cough. I didn't say anything.

Wtf man? Why? What's wrong with ME? Shit like this is why I stay inside.

I hope I don't think about this too much while I'm drinking.
This is why I hate going out and interacting with people. I neglect myself and look like haggard shit quite often so a trip to the store is a huge risk.

Maybe you enjoy feeding off misery.
Yea, I'm starting to catch a patterned tone to your contributions. You assert we're not in therapy, but you're damn quick to offer your clinical diagnoses of those who share experiences you can't seem to relate to or have no experience with. Dismissing people as attention seekers, issuing moral and ethical edicts on other people's lived experiences - often after making ungrounded assumptions about their motives, or their history, and asserting the right to insult others (of course in the guise of tough love or invoking the claim that "hey, this is the internet so we have a right to rude - so get over it or leave." This is your modus operandi. I'm affirmed that others here seem to value your trollish behavior as much as I do.

That's fine if you don't want to believe me and think I'm bullshitting. I have no reason to lie. I was sharing what I've experienced. That was it.
keep telling your story friend. Most people here approach our joint enterprise in the spirt of affirmation, empathy and love for our fellow travelers. There is much to be gained here. I'd encourage you to do your best to tune out the vitriol from those who seem to be coming from a very different place than the rest.

In my early 30s I was training to do a fundraising 50 mile walk. I was amazed at the people (100% male btw) who would yell shit to me as I walked by, because I am fat (nevermind that I was walking 10 miles at a stretch often after working 10+ hours a day). One time some guys threw empty beer cans at me. Try walking around as a female in a fat body and you will get a different perspective of life.

Wtf?!! I am so sorry! How often do you think groups of women harass men walking alone about their body and weight, btw?!! I admire your hard work—I couldn't walk 10 miles even if I hadn't worked that day!
