  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I've been considering doing the potato diet, maybe just for a few days to get rid of the stubborn 10 pounds or so....

That's all I'm trying to do right now lose 10 lbs. I've been doing this diet for almost 3 whole days and this afternoon I was down 4 lbs. I think I'm only going to do it for 1 more day and take a break from it.

Good luck! I'll be interested to hear about your experience.

Thanks. I only did it for about 3 1/2 days before I cheated. After 3 days I was down 4.0 lbs. and my blood sugar levels were down 151 points.

During those 3 days I ate 7 medium sized potato's and 6 jumbo eggs with cheese. I put black pepper on the potato's every time and other times I added garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and olive oil to try and get rid of the blandness.

It was weird I didn't eat very much each day but I was never starving or craving anything. At first I thought I was going to have to eat 4 - 8 potato's a day to satisfy my hunger but I only ended up having to eat 2 - 3 a day and was just fine until today I was starting to feel tired and weak and decided 3 1/2 days was enough for now.

I would say the diet will definitely make one lose all the weight they want because it's such a low calorie diet. It would take a lot of discipline and will power though.

I don't think I would recommend a potato only diet but making one meal out of 1 or 2 potato's to other diets would be a good idea.

Thanks! I've read that by cooking them ahead of time and reheating before you eat makes them starch resistant (?) Even so, your huge blood sugar drop is surprising!!
2-6 lbs of potato are allowed- I've wondered what that looks like. I was thinking of adding sautéed garlic to some, and making them different ways.
If it's not too bad I might do it once a month for maintenance...
I'm glad you didn't push yourself to go crazy with it.
You've inspired me to try it!

Thanks, good luck, and let me know how it goes if you start one. I'm already thinking about doing it again but probably not till after the holidays.

I'm on my third day of the potato diet. I haven't gotten on the scales, but I do think I've lost some weight. It's not too hard because potatoes are so good lol. The first night I added a lot of garlic, but for all the other times I put only a little olive oil, and salt and pepper.
The only challenge was when I stupidly watched a youtube food video and ended up craving chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. But other than that it's been easy!
