Greetings SS community, some of the old guard here (those who have been around since 2018 or even 2019) may have remembered me as a member who often wrote many thought-provoking, interesting threads around the topics of right to die, anti-psychiatry, bodily autonomy, and many more. I was a member around mid/late 2018 which was a few months after Reddit took down SS as well as TTG eventually getting quarantined into the void. Originally, I left in very early 2021 because of a few changes within the community and forum that I am not fond of nor came to terms with. Previously, when I was a member here, I often vented and talked about my life and things, but this time, I'm mainly going to just get straight to the point and not waste too much time venting and stuff. While venting does help, it doesn't do me much more than bring some temporary reprieve; in other words, it doesn't solve the problems that I'm facing at hand (sometimes there isn't a solution - except death which solves all problems of life itself).
With that said, this is an unexpected return as things in life as well as the world has gotten more bleak in many areas. The pro-lifers, prohibitionists, preventionists, etc. have just doubled-down, gotten more invasive, and it is becoming more and more difficult each passing day as they crack down in every facet of day to day life itself. Furthermore, the world itself still rotten as always as seen in the recent events, the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and more.
This is one of the few places that still serve as space to be able to freely (for the most part) talk about these important topics without the fear of censorship, gaslighting, or persecution. While there are pro-lifers lurking about both in private and public, the majority of the community and the leaders in this community made sure that these pro-lifers don't get out of hand.
My goals and mission:
To spread my messages and information far into the community in hopes that someone or a group of people will make good use of it and for those who wish to remain or continue fighting (not me, and certainly not in the long term) to perhaps one day bring about the change in the world. I may not be able to witness the aftermath (if successful or not) though I am hoping for a utopic, pro-choice world which the right to die is treated as a inalienable human right rather than an disease or illness that must be treated, cured, managed.
During my limited time in sentience I want to (hopefully not many decades from now but within a year or two) be able to galvanize the community together into a strong pro-choice group that will not be shaken, bullied, intimidated, or otherwise coerced into pro-life rhetoric. This does not mean that I promote, encourage, nor condone violence or any illegal acts, but merely ways for our community to stand our ground, push back, resist and frustrate the pro-life world that we are living in.
Finally, I will have a different take on various threads, as threads with theoreticals and speculations will be given disclaimers and prefaces so that readers will know what to expect and also prepare them for the topic. This is likely used when there are no flairs that are most appropriate for the type of topic, like if the topic is more of a discussion type but has a subset of a topic type, then having the preface will help categorize it. Another example is when discussing or rationalizing a certain action, it may have that tag there, meaning it is more of a informative topic rather than just plain discussion.
