Why is it that no one understands or sees why you can't see a way out of your torturous depression like I cannot see that light at the end of the tunnel I would like to but I just don't see a way out for me it's torture everyday suffering like this and thinking that just by talking things out is somehow going to magically make me better I have therapy sessions but feel like there's a time limit on trying to get better or in my case faking it I've said over and over again I don't think I can get better not with my situation

Well.... I believe you get depressed by a reason (few, a lot) or sometimes you just dont know why, but you feel sad, suffer and dont know the reason.

If you have reason, you need to work with then by talking, it helps, but it's not going solve anything, you need to find the answer. If your problem is in the past and there's no solution for that, you have to learn to deal with it. Doctors can prescribe drugs that can help you with that journey.

If you dont have a reason, doctors explanation about this is a chemical inbalance in the brain, something about serotonin. Depression can happens even if you look around you, your life is good, you have what you want, friends, family, good job with nothing is making sense. In this case, antidepressants can make miracles for you, introduce exercises in you life, take some sun.

I hope you can find your way. When times passes, it will not going back, my advice to you is dont waste your life like I did. Give yourself a chance.

It's just so cruel to me how there's all this suffering, I understand finding it torturous to exist, it sounds like you've suffered a lot. But anyway I wish you the best.

I started with medication first, no talk therapy. When you are severely depressed, I don't think therapy alone would have helped me at all. It was when I started the antidepressants I started feeling better. It would have even been better had I combined it with therapy, which I am starting to do just now (started antidepressants over 20 years ago).

Just curious as to whether you have tried medication?

I'm on propanalol for my anxiety but they haven't even offered me any antidepressants like I'm not even worth a pill

My GP I have drugs workers to
You might have to ask your GP for them, or a referral to a psychiatrist. My doctor didn't offer them to me, I had to beg him for some antidepressants because I was feeling distressed and desperate.
