I ordered it a few months ago, didn't receive any welfare checks, but it might've changed even in just the last few months

AFAIK in the US, they can't legally intercept your package, and if they show up at your door, you just say "I have no clue what you're talking about" if they ask you about it. Even if the package is in your hands, you say "I don't know what you're talking about", and close the door on them. Practice it if you think you need to.
