  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Right. And that's fine. If it is successful, who cares about "feeling awkward". But if it is not, then whoever "they" are may not "come to terms" as you intended.

I know what you mean. If that person pushed you to want to ctb, you would want to write it all out and hope they read it and feel bad or "come to terms".

But if the attempt isn't successful, and you would have to deal with them again after they read your note (especially if it is a relative), don't expect them to always understand and "come to terms". They may treat you differently or worse than before.

If you don't ever have to deal with them either way, then it doesn't matter.

And that's exactly what I mean....

I assumed you wrote something about her being part of the reason you wanted to ctb? That's why she kicked you out?

And that's what I mean. That unintended consequence.
Yeah but I just don't think that the term awkward is fitting for an issue as serious as suicide. "Awkward" is a more trivial term not something that's life or death. Tbh if someone is that abusive to make you think you're only option for the shit to end is to kill yourself then it's still on them even if they won't accept it. They're not the ones that are hurt and it shows.
