i know it's a strange question, but in theory, could it be possible ? as both are sodium based.
if any chemist are here ;-)

Not really, it's the nitrite / pentobarbital part that does the job, not the sodium, they're very different chemically.

N from NaNO2, no, but making sodium nitrite from sodium nitrate (more easily procured) is fairly doable with some lead and some heat.

You don't even need NaNO2 to do that; all you need is the latest model of this replicator

In fact I didn't want to mean "tranform" it to N, but expecting for close to similar effects to N (quick sleep and no racing heart and all those bad things SN does). My idea was maybe mixing it with another chemical product. I should ask to a Nobel prize or Walter White lol 😆
