• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I want to break free, I thought as I took my phone and began to write. Writting is something I always did. Im not sure if I ever loved it. But its something I always did, so I continue to do so.

It is strange how everyones mind is different, how we think is a mistery to one.
For me thoughts are pictures, they are like dreams that feel too weird. Im sure it is not as such for other people.
A little while ago I saw a video about how our brain is two, how we are two. Its not something to do with soulmates, rather its something to do with what we do. Our left I think is what we do with our hands and legs. Our right I think is what we say. If you separate those two they might disagree with eachother.

I feel like I have a separated brain, I disagree and agree with myself in almost everything.

Its like I hate baking, but I like it.
Who is I?
I feel like I have too many people living inside my brain rent free.

I want to keep this short.
So that you dont have to read, as much as youd be not willing to.
Im sorry if this is too booring.

We all share one thing. Its not love, its not family.
It is free will. Or is it? I think it is the ability to have thoughts.
So tell me. In what way do you think?
Is it words? Is it pictures? Is it something you cant quiet grasph?

I hope to see the light of knowlege, and for you to see it too.

Have a nice day stranger!

It's not boring at all. It's really interesting.

They're so weird aren't they? A lot of the time I have a monologue going on in my head and it's usually very spoilt child whiney: 'I don't want to do this. I hate this. I'm tired' paralleled obviously with suicidal thoughts. That's while I'm performing tasks I don't want to do. (Which is a lot of them these days.)

Other times I'm consciously trying to get my mind to think about puzzling things. That's why here is so great. We can actually express them.

But, it's definitely pictures too. During the day, they tend to be more instrusive- both good and bad. Just a sudden snapshot memory of a place and time. From nowhere sometimes. Like, you have no idea why you've just thought of that.

I'll also find myself maladaptive daydreaming quite a bit where I'm imagining I'm in a different, more successful life! I used to do it a lot as an (only) child to entertain myself I think. That ties in with limerence though- obsessive crushes which are more active at night- for obvious reasons.

It's just bizarre to think they're electrical impulses across neurons.

Weirder still is, I'm more creative when I dream. As in, I can imagine the world in so much more complexity. It's so detailed and it all moves so fast. My day dreams are much more laboured in comparison and tend to be more based on real environments I've seen on TV. Imagine if we could record our dreams!

Thank you for answering! ^^ I do tend to daydream a lot too, I get so lost in thought that I forget what I was thinking about once I "wake up"

That would be rather crazy, just recording our dreams. I once saw a movie about what would happen if dreams became a reality, its an old movie from my country.

Once again thank you!

What? I don't know what you are trying to say here, but I think it should be noted that based on my limited understanding of how the brain works, both the left and right hemispheres are involved in motor control. Along with that, the areas of the brain involved in language are usually located in the left hemisphere (though, there are cases of people whose right hemisphere is responsible for language, but they are the minority).

In regards to split-brain patients, from what I know, many report experiencing a single consciousness. When it comes to the question of dual consciousness among split-brain patients, opinions on this matter tend to be all over the place. It's a bit of a controversial matter, tbh. As a result, I wouldn't take any random video you find on the matter too seriously, especially if it is an older video or one that was created by a YouTuber with no formal background in neurology.

Having thoughts that contradict each other is normal. Everyone experiences that. For example, I love drawing but I also hate it. I love VLD but I also dislike it. What you are experiencing is pretty normal.

There are a couple frameworks for human consciousness and thought. One that cones to mind is called internal family system. It's pretty much what it says. We have a bunch of "beings" in our mind that all interact to form a cohesive whole. The one that wins is the one whose thought pop up in your consciousness.

The deeper theory behind it is that these "beings" are abstractions of how our mind works at a physical level which is not well understood.

In our brains we have neuron groups that have been classified according to roughly what has been observed like physical sensation and processing (each one a distinct activitiy in a different part of the brain)

Somewhere in our brain all of this is grouped into mental models of ourselves and the world and maybe even the space we occupy. This explains a lot about ourselves but in a very generalized level which might not be useful to our everyday lives since it kind of suggests that we have very little control over ourselves. At least relative to what we COULD do.

Wow I learned a lot from this, thanks a lot! ^^

I have picture, verbal speech and word thoughts. meaning, I can see a scene or an object im thinking of, I can hear myself describe the image and I can see words written out in my head of what I'm thinking but that last one only happens when im really focusing on doing it.

I have a bit of a photographic memory as well, its a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it helps me memorize places and things and helps me navigate going through new places and such but a curse because I have ptsd and I've seen a lot of terrible things over my years and can still see those terrible things in very good detail and it retraumatizes me over and over all the time but yk, what can you really do.

Something I wanted to bring up as well, though, is aphantasia. Its when someone is basically the exact opposite of me. They may have verbal thought of their own voice talking in their head but they can't picture things. They cannot see a visual of anything in their heads. whether it is made up like a floating apple in the void or something they have seen before like their childhood home. Sure there is still memory of where things may be inside that house or the general layout of it but they can't actually "see" it unless it is actually in front of them. This is a concept that has facinated me for a very long time. I have an older cousin who has aphantasia and he describes it as "knowing what you want to see but only seeing the back of your eyelids when you close your eyes to picture it."

Interesting isnt it?
