• Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I'm planning on doing what I need to soon, but I keep thinking about how I'm going to hurt the people I care about. I want to prevent any damage as much as I can. I know hurting them is inevitable, but whatever I can do to help make it easier on them would be great.

I'm planning on leaving a general message meant for anyone interested where I explain how I've been planning stuff for a while, how my final moments were peaceful, how this is the choice I made and that I don't have any regrets. I'm also going to leave some messages for specific people I'd like to say something to, to reassure them as much as I can that none of this is anyone's fault and that this is a decision I made by myself, for myself. Telling them one last time that I love and appreciate them and that I want them to try their best to keep going despite what happens to me.

I'll also leave some instructions behind on what to do with any items and money I leave behind. I still have to do research on what will legally happen with my property when I decide to gtfo, but I assume it'll be inherited by my parents, who can then follow anything I've written down.

What more can I do? I really don't know what else I could possibly do, I have to keep my plans a secret after all. I'm not even sure whether I should keep my messages serious or a bit more lighthearted, or how much I should even be writing.

Weird question maybe, but if anyone has any experience with someone they know taking their own life, what do you think they did or could've done to make the situation a little easier for everyone grieving them? I'd appreciate some thoughts from anyone comfortable sharing. Thank you
