what does it feel like to overdose on opiods

my best friend is going through a risky surgery rn and the days leading up to it has had me considering our mortality again.

the idea of giving up the fight has been there pretty strong recently, especially with every mechanism to help our physical health and keep us comfortable falling apart around us.

just pain has made us unable to eat properly for a few days now, either from the pain itself, or nausea from the pain meds that isnt getting controlled enough

id been considering tricyclics that i had a decent stock of

but would opiods be less unpleasant ? would a combination of my two be better? any idea on timings? I've read through the peaceful pill handbook, bit they don't speak much on the sedating side of opiods as an alternative to benzos.

I just want to stop having to fight to exist each day

Statistically overdosing on drugs will just land you in a worse spot than where you are now.

I was moreso thinking of a dose i know is guaranteed to result in it happening.

with things stockpiled enough i know they are above lethal quantities when prepared correctly so that they absorb before the stomach can react

I'm well aware of the consequences of a failed OD, and i have no wish to ever have that happen again

I guess i was just looking for someone who was able to have enough of an opioid dose that *would* be lethal but then was revived with naloxone or something

one of our biggest fears is being scared or suffering more in the end. I don't really know why it's such a big deal to us, it just always has been

i just guessed extremely high doses of my chronic pain opiods would have been a potential way to guarantee it being easier

I'm with you. I need to know the lethal dose of my narcotic. The pharmacist make it seem like if you take 5 tablets you will need Narcan

Were you narcaned, or did you not take enough to actually kill you so you just took a long nap?

I took over seven hundred tablets, supposedly the three times the fatal dose but somehow I survived it. I really don't know how. I'll take SN next time.

Were you tolerant ?

I could do the same with benzos and nothing would happen

I am quite tolerant but it really still should have still been enough. I think I only survived because I was found though.

From what I have heared it is supposedly very peaceful, even pleasant.
But I do not really believe this, opiods in these dosages cause respiratory failure doesn't sound really pleasant.

umm, the respiratory failure happens after your unconscious.
