There was some new article on bbc mentioning this site (not directly though) because parents of a person who visited this site for a month before he ctb'd are angry. So yeah some officials are onto it

I'm not sure I can fault the parents of the deceased for crusading against the forum... it must be quite harrowing to read and experience. They feel defeated and powerless and so try to focus their efforts to achieve something they perceive as meaningful. I don't agree with it, but I can understand it. However, the actions of some parents and journalists have been quite appalling (doxxing, pestering, baiting).

Be nice if they actually talked to an active member and maybe try and get their perspective. It's not an evil place. It's just a place where people can come and discuss suicide/depression without repercussions from people who actually experience it first-hand.

Basically anything relating to suicide gets deleted there unless it's empty "dont do it!" platitudes and bots spamming hotlines, it's outright unusable.

There is no immediate threat to this forum right now, but there have been efforts to deplatform us in the past or make it more difficult to access this place in certain countries, like in the UK for example. We have no idea what the future holds but there has been a general increase in attempts to censor the internet in various countries, so it's a good thing to be prepared. That's why we put up the banner. We have resisted all attempts to shut us down so far and we aren't planning to go anywhere.

The government has been trying to shut down this site for as long as this site was first founded as the government, just like the majority of people, are pro suffering and would rather have people suffer for as long as possible. To them, the thought of somebody escaping this prison is unimaginable. They have tried many times to shut this place down and they have failed.
