I'm not in the US but I feel like american politics is just shoved down the throats of everyone. If I have to put up with shit about a country I don't even live in, I may as well support the one who aligns mostly with my beliefs of equality, over some rich bastard with too much time and money on his hands.

the world is burning no matter who is in office. no one is going to change or fix anything.
As a rule in politics, you want a leader who is already successful and reluctantly taking on the job, despite any risks to him or her. Conversely, you don't want those who use politics to enrich themselves, and just try to bribe, backstab, chest or in this case sleep their way to the top.
There are so many focus group style globalist politicians who will essentially say whatever is fashionable, pretend they're friends with obnoxious celebrities and just do anything to gain power.
Another thing to be wary of is any politician who in any way overall increases the size/scope/power of the state. This takes away liberty and freedom and if course gives them yet more power and opportunities for corruption and enrichment

I have never voted nor cared to. I will only vote if someone will legalize euthanasia and make it accessible to me! Other than that, I don't care and the world could blow up for all I care.
