  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Hi there,

I'm planning on ctb, I've gone through a really tough few years and honestly this has been something I guess I'll never escape. I got started on antidepressants but just made me feel even worse.

Just a few I guess questions about methods, I've looked at the wikis, forums, resources thread, I still can't seem to get a few things right.

With ligatures, (not partial suspension but asphyxiation) how are they actually tied because every time I seem to tie it; it's never tight or won't hold and I feel okay. I mean, I get a bit dizzy and my face goes really red but everyone says how they have capillaries burst and pass out. Why can't I achieve that?
As well as with partial suspension how are things secured to where they are holding? I've tried everything. Bed posts, wardrobes, door handles. I've tried to use the tourniquet method, I have shoelaces attached to a hinge on a door but I still don't think that'll hold. It gets to a point and won't tighten any further. What is causing this?

I've also spent a large amount of time scouting out a local bridge, it is 116ft high over a river and concrete car park. I don't want this to go wrong. Would that be sufficient enough? I know 150ft is 95% successful but a few people have died from this bridge, so surely it must be a high chance?

I have already prepared notes, I've stopped showing how I'm feeling. I've tried multiple OD's and didn't have any effect at all. I seriously need to be successful as there is no room for mistakes.

Thanks for reading and replying! x

I cannot answer your other questions as i have no experience in that so would be just spouting nonsense.

But as far as jumping is concerned, just because people have died does not mean you will, it's honestly all down to the angle you hit the ground & that cannot be guaranteed as you have naff all control at that height.

Have a read about all the people who have jumped from that or higher & survived. x
