Twitch has just chosen a pro-Hamas Islamist at their "legendary woman"! What the hell is going on?

Another important topic: genocide of Nigerian Christians by Islamist militias:

Not a crime, but Israel is still waiting for Hamas to accept this generous hostage deal. I have a feeling Hamas "freedom fighters" are still going to reject it.

Edit: Yes, they have officialy rejected it.

Yahya Sinwar, the Islamist leader of Hamas "freedom fighters", is an insane murderer himself.

While there may be an underreporting of certain Islamic crimes, you can't honestly claim the attack in Moscow wasn't substantially covered in the west.

As for the (western) article you linked on Palestinian sexual assault, there's evil scum on both sides:

As for the (western) article you linked on Palestinian sexual assault, there's evil scum on both sides:

1. I don't really want to turn this thread into an Israel-Palestine debate, but please read this comment I wrote. Regarding the current war, there's a lot going on, but even Hamas admitted that the story of rape in Shifa Hospital was fabricated.

1711506578367
1711506539026

2. Regarding Moscow: yes, maybe it was covered properly this time, but the conspiracy theories regarding the perpetrators are unhinged. People are trying to claim it was America/Ukraine/Israel, while ISIS literally took responsibility, published photos of the terrorists and videos of the attack itself.

3. Another point I want to address: I'm not even criticizing the Islamic religion here; just the Islamist ideology. In a similar way, the majority of anti-Zionists would claim that criticizing the Zionist ideology doesn't make you inherently anti-Judaist or racist against ethnic Jews.

You posted a NY Times piece that mentions a UN report stating that there was convincing information that Israeli hostsages had suffered sexual violence at the hands of some members of Hamas. I replied highlighting a report by the UN on rape and sexual assault perpetrated by Israeli soldiers, and your response to that is "Regarding the current war, there's a lot going on... ".

Why not just admit there is evil brutality being perpetrated against women by both sides, instead of sticking your head in the sand with regard to the rape and sexual assault being carried out by Israeli soldiers on Palestinian women?

2. Regarding Moscow: yes, maybe it was covered properly this time, but the conspiracy theories regarding the perpetrators are unhinged. To stick with the topic of your thread, I haven't seen the western media putting forward those conspiracy theories. The only conspiracy theories I've seen in that regard have come from Putin and Russia. The western media showed those I.S. videos and I saw no disputing that it was I.S. who carried out that attrocity.

3. Another point I want to address: I'm not even criticizing the Islamic religion here; just the Islamist ideology. In a similar way, the majority of anti-Zionists would claim that criticizing the Zionist ideology doesn't make you inherently anti-Judaist or racist against ethnic Jews.
I didn't say that you were criticising Islamic religion.

That's the thing, your source isn't talking about what happened after the October 7 Hamas massacre. Regarding the current war, that's what your source claims:

1711544613600

Regarding "both sides", it's just not a fair comparison. The IDF is like an apple tree: there's always a possibility of rotten apples. An IDF soldier that is caught committing a crime, such as deliberately attacking unarmed civilians, goes to an Israeli military prison. On the other hand, Hamas obviously doesn't have military prisons for war crimes, and their entire charter is genocidal.

1711544826029

And moving on to the militant Islamists of the Taliban...

You've literally quoted a piece from my link that, one sentence previously, stated that:

"She said that in a wave of detentions of Palestinian women and girls after the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war on 7 October, there was an increasingly permissive attitude towards sexual assault in Israeli detention centres."

That section in full, including the piece you quoted:

Screenshot 20240327 141456

So, yes, they are referring to the sexual violence carried out by Israeli soldiers against Palestinian women after October 7th.
Strange how you missed that previous sentence from that same section you took the except from.

Regarding "both sides", it's just not a fair comparison. The IDF is like an apple tree: there's always a possibility of rotten apples.
Of course there's bad apples everywhere, but that's not an excuse to totally ignore the evil sexual violence carried out by Israeli soldiers, which is what you seem to be doing.

An IDF soldier that is caught committing a crime, such as deliberately attacking unarmed civilians, goes to an Israeli military prison.
I would be surprised if any or even a small few of these rapes and sexual assault claims were heeded by their own authorities. It rarely happens in any war.

On the other hand, Hamas obviously doesn't have military prisons for war crimes, and their entire charter is genocidal.

I'm just saying if you're highlighting the evils of Hamas, you shouldn't stick your head in the sand with regard to evils carried out by Israeli soldiers.

You see, the first sentence here is talking about a comment made in 2021... the current war started on 7 October 2023.
Are you for real? It says that the woman giving the UN report was appointed to the UN Human Rights council in 2021. That's the only reference to 2021 in the piece.
What she discusses in reference to sexual violence against Palestinian women relates to after October 7th, 2023.

Fair enough. Of course I'll condemn any sexul assault, but the comparison between the IDF and Hamas still seems unfair. It seems like Hamas used systematic sexual violence as a legitimate tactic.

Interesting how a valid question and discussion turned into insults in under ten posts...
I wonder if this could relate in any way to the fact that we're all suicidal.

I don't think it's related; even the most popular social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram are full of toxicity.

To a small degree, sure, it might contribute to the problem.

Ultimately, I would agree with @Pessimist, and even go a step further - it's human nature.

These disagreements have predated social media, but having a platform to share your views with the world makes it so much easier to begin and escalate any discord. I think we are all seeing the effects of this far beyond the reach of SaSu.

Is there any significance to the date October 7 in particular? Why did Hamas choose that day to attack? Wasn't that Himmler's birthday?

Israel and "The West" are constantly playing the blame game without taking into account the violence they've wrought onto other people. Zionists want to continue to mire us in this question of whether there was, or was not sexual assault perpetrated by Palestinians on October 7th, but the reality is we're almost to the month of April! 32k Palestinians have died and thousands upon thousands more are suffering from hunger and disease. The bloodshed that Israel is carrying out has not ceased and there has been enough Palestinian blood shed for there to be 30 October 7th's and the war machine has no intention of letting up until all of Gaza is wiped out and can be sold by Israeli realtors.

32k Palestinians have died
1. 32k is the number claimed by Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry.

2. This number doesn't differentiate between civilians and terrorists.

3. By the way, Hamas claims that they have already killed 1.6k IDF soldiers in Gaza. Not sure how reliable they are.

So, the IDF is a reliable source, but the Gazan Health Ministry isn't? What possible reason would the Israeli Army have for claiming there are less civilian deaths, I wonder? This is the same old story all the time: hospitals are Hamas, journalists are Hamas, pregnant women are Hamas, children are Hamas or at the very least will become Hamas etc. etc. And when the entirety of Gaza has been cleared of "Hamas" will the Gazans thank the Israeli military for destroying their homes, their livelihoods, and their families? Israel seems absolutely allergic to taking any responsibility for the conflict. If it had any interest in keeping its citizens, or Jews generally safe, than it would end the occupation and give Palestinians self-determination.

The Gaza Health Ministry is controlled by the Hamas "government" in Gaza; so no, they are not very reliable. They would claim that all Gazans have already died if they could, just because it fits their agenda. And yes, unfortunately bombs also kill civilians in war. Especially when the Hamas Islamists hide in tunnels under the civilian population, technically using them as human shields. But I guess it's your first time hearing about the concept of war?

Also, the idea that you can co-exist with Islamist terrorist groups is hilarious. Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah promote genocide against the Jewish people, the destruction of Israel and the establishment of an Islamic state in the entire area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. They don't support a two-state solution.

Again you're certain that Hamas would lie to suit their agenda, but not Israel. And again you've glossed over the civilian deaths in Gaza: Israel drops bombs, kills civilians, and yet magically has zero responsibility for the deaths of thousands - how does that work exactly?

The issue with calling out all this violent rhetoric from the side of Hamas and other militant groups is that while they are talking about the destruction of their occupier, Israel is actively destroying Gaza and Israel is actively committing genocide. We're supposed to sympathize with the nuclear power that's been occupying Gaza and the West Bank illegally for 60 years: terrorizing the native people, razing farmland, holding them hostage essentially - the solution is to end the occupation. Yes, one gesture of goodwill would do more than the thousands of tons of bombs dropped on children and hospitals. Again, how do you expect a Palestinian to feel about this conflict when Israeli bombs have killed their entire family?! I don't understand how people are this dense!

Israel literally cares about Palestinians more than Hamas does.

1. Hamas leaders steal the aid money that is supposed to be given to the Palestinian people. Do you know how much money was spent on their terror tunnels? But not a single bomb shelter was built in Gaza.

2. Hamas leaders are "proud" to "sacrifice" Gazan civilians.

3. Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza, murders Palestinians.

1711742870782

4. The IDF sends out warning messages to civilians before bombing a war zone:

1711743172409

The Hamas "freedom fighters" massacre entire music festivals:

Edit: And be for real, do you really think that the Jewish nation wants to genocide the Palestinians? If Israel really wanted to commit genocide, it is clear that the first ones they would kill are the 2 million Palestinians who are citizens of Israel and live inside of Israel. Yet these Palestinians are totally safe and protected by the IDF.
