Will Trump change his policies if his popularity drops and there are civil protests against him?

The opposite could happen. Maybe he intentionally provokes such a crisis.
For a power grab. I read an Interview some weeks ago maybe the stock market is the last Thing that could stop Trump. Well it did not age Well.

Who benefits from an international financial crisis? The mega rich. Inequality always increases. 2008, covid... 2025/26?

The only thing Imo stopping him is a coup, natural death or another attempt on his life. Even if was someone removed from office vance will continue the same policies. The only thing that might change is the tariffs which seems to be mainly a Trump obsession. The way this administration is operating it doesnt sound like they plan to allow fair elections in the future. so it doesnt matter to them that their policies are unpopular. I dont know if his administration will end up succeeding in their goals but the damage already done will affect this country for decades.

Him winning and everything he has done since his term began is probably the main reason why I have no hope left in the future. I am sad that my family and loved ones will have to suffer immensely under his administration but i refuse to be around for it.

The protests won't change or stop anything. They rarely do. They would actually have to care about what the people think. And they've been crystal clear that they don't. As long as that is the case, protest is strictly performative without any power or force to back it up.

I get the impression he'll change his policies as frequently and quickly as the wind changes if it takes his fancy. This does not strike me as one of the political world's long term strategists.
