let's say tomorrow you will become a millionaire, how many of your problems will be fixed? would you be happy for a long time? or just short ecstasy?

Maybe I would feel powerful enough to try to do things that I can't do right now, but deep down I know that not all the money can take away the feeling of hating life...

No matter how happy I am, I know that others like me will continue to feel unhappy and I don't like that.

I understand, i feel just like you do, although it will make me happy for a month, I'm pretty sure I'd become miserable just like i was, for years straight

All my problems stem from a lack of money; therefore, becoming a millionaire tomorrow would solve all my problems.

It wouldn't bring me happiness but probably a prolonged state of contentment. I would have access to quality mental health care so I could try fixing my life that way. There is also peace in knowing that it has opened up more options for CTB, better than I would have otherwise.

I think becoming very wealthy overnight would be a short, temporary relief for me. I'd be able to splurge my cash and buy things I've wanted for a long time which would bring me some happiness... but it wouldn't solve the core problems that make me depressed and suicidal, like being autistic, being cripplingly lonely, and being angry at people who have hurt me in the past.

It would help until old age and illness started to take their toll. Maybe not exactly happy but, certainly less stressed and annoyed that I have to work. It's hard to say whether I would quite my (creative) job entirely. It actually used to mean everything to me. Maybe eventually, I would miss it. Money would fix my short term problems but ultimately, it wouldn't fix everything.

I am older, as i mention this only because I am NOT rich however, I am very comfortable.

I have through my life seen too many people sacrifice too much for money.

Yes, one need a roof over one's head, eats and then like, BUT also a beautiful sunrise and a sunset also to enjoy.

Can rememebr a person who told me about their mom on her deathbed saying that she had 1 regret in life. They enver took a family vacatione ever. She did not mention anything about money, but family and life experiences.

A million US Dollars is really not a lot of money these days, but with a smart investment strategy and the discipline to not spend it on stupid things, it could last a while. The second thing I would invest in would be my mental and physical health so I can live a happy, healthy life so I can watch my boys grow up.

Money itself wouldn't make me feel happy but it could lead to more opportunities for happiness I suppose, like having more freedom to do things as I can maybe escape my entrapment from my parents if I could buy a place.

Yes because it would probably allow me to actually escape my current life that I'm not capable of dragging myself out of right now. It might not fix my main problem, but it sure as hell would fix everything else. Maybe then I'd be in the right mental and emotional state to tackle my main problem.

I don't care about money. Never have and never will.

Only thing I would do with a large sum of money is buy a house in the middle of nowhere and live among nature and animals.

It would help, sure. My income went up qutie a bit the past year and that's cool, I do feel better for it. But it doesn't fix what's truly broken, like my shit personal life. Oh, and paying extra taxes is a bitch.

Yes and no. I was happy enough before I ran into a financial crisis. Now I'm in danger of losing a home, escalating living costs, medical needs that can't be handled. I'm kind of terrified, and money could solve a good amount of that

But now I'm so much more aware of how broken the world is. Well honestly the world is also so much more broken. I don't think I would ever unsee the pain in the world...poverty, crime, homelessness, violence. So I don't know if I would ever be as happy again

Still, if my financial problems were solved I would live with the pain instead of wanting to be gone.

It would make be a bit happier, but tons of money tends to cause its own problems. I wouldn't mind if everything was free for me, and that I couldn't use anything that I owned for personal gain. So I couldn't use it to gain the trust or respect of others, to gain power, or to use it to change anything at all. Apart from having whatever I wanted, just for me. To be able to have a nice house and possessions just for the sake of having them would be nice. Most people who have a lot of money use it to gain power, I don't want that. I just want to have a few nice things that make my life a bit more comfortable. But would it make it happy? No.

Wh could resolve some financial anxieties but other than that no. I believe money isnt the key to happiness.

Furthermore, money brings out not so good things in people.

I wouldn't know what to do with that kind of money except buy a house. I don't think it's going to change my life in any tangible way anyway; like it's not going to give me back my youth, health, and it's not going to change my brain.

Not really, I can't even go on a trip without feeling extremely depressed and wanting to sit in the hotel room and sleep (granted those hotel beds are cozy). But it would only solve money problems. Wouldn't solve any other problems

It depends, a million or two? Yeah, but for short term only. More than 10 millions? Yes for sure
