I dont think it would work. Miraculin binds to the taste-receptors, which makes acidic foods seem sweet, this is because, miraculin binds tightly to the receptors, if acids are present. N is usually present as a sodium salt, not as a free acid, So, I think there would be no effect.

PPeH recommends spraying your tongue with Lignocaine, to prevent the bad taste.
