I think that most of us are spending their time thinking about all the bad things that happend in their life. But what about the happy moments? If it's comfortable of course, I would like to hear about the happiest memory you've got^-^

PS: Please don't judge my english, I'm from germany^^"

My happiest memories are controversial: 2 years ago, living in South Africa with my bf, we had just moved into this cute little flat that we needed to furnish, and since there was a lot to do, we took a lot of meth to stay up (I don't take it anymore and I'm still paying the price for it since going cold turkey like I did triggers massive depression). So during the day we'd visit cheap furniture places and craft stores, and we'd stay up all night trying to do crafts, we never managed to do anything really nice but it was a lot of fun. Early in the morning, we'd also do game drives in wildlife parks... It was sunny and warm and colourful...

I'm not sure. Probably spending time with my grandparents as a child. I only got to see them once every other week. My biomom kept me from them most of the time. They were my real parents as far as I was concerned.

August 1999. We had taken a family vacation to Spain and for the first time I was allowed to go out drinking with my older brother. We hit the campsite bar every night for 2 weeks. We had so much fun goofing off, dancing stupidly, and kissing girls. After that it was back to boring reality and I never had that much fun ever again in my life. Not on any vacation, or in any type of daily life scenario.

I don't have many of those... the strongest I can remember is the last road trip with my ex. It was simply perfect, even though it was very short. I managed to pass 3 days without thinking about ctb.

All of my best memories came before puberty. The carefree summers when I would alternate video gaming and outdoor activities with my childhood friends (I actually had friends back then!!!!!) are the only fond memories I have. That was 25+ years ago. I haven't experienced sustained happiness since then and probably never will.

I don't have any. I'm sure I've had good things happen to me. But whenever I think of the past it's always negative.

My happiest memory was getting a ride home from a soccer game with my former friend. We talked a lot. I wish it could happen again

I can't really remember. I had ok moments but a moment I was genuinely happy? Maybe when my siblings were babies. I enjoyed taking care of them. Also I had a few amazing dreams I cannot forget to this day. This is going to sound incredibly sad and silly but I used to daydream excessively as a kid and until recently (stopped a few years ago). I dreamed of the person I could be etc. My daydreams were literally my life force. Damn now I'm making myself sad because I was so sad all the time

Every time I traveled with friends/gf when we didn't have any obligations. Life hadn't fucked over any of us yet. Days spent chilling partying in remote locations along coastline until sunrise.

God this was the most awkward question in my life. To be honest before this week I would be hard pushed to name a happiest moment, but now I have seen The Big Bang Theory in person and that would be the happiest moment in my life.

Another memory comes to mind often, a more innocent one, no meth involved this time:
Seeing Saturn through a telescope when I was about 8 or 9. My cousin was 15 and had a telescope that wasn't especially expensive, but it must have been good enough and all the conditions were right, since we saw Saturn several times (we tracked it after our original sighting), through the lens, it must have been the size of a... blueberry maybe? And we could see the rings very, very clearly.

Pure magic and awe :)

I was invited to a prestigious writers' festival to perform when I was young. It was a career goal, and better than publication (the day I was offered a contract was ruined). My performance went well. I genuinely believed nothing would ever hold me back, I was inspired by the superior talent and experience of the other performers, I felt loved and valued... I was growing, not decaying.

(Ironically, the memory was ruined for me when I developed OCD, because I spent the next few years obsessively picking it apart to tell if I'd been exposed to any germs.)

2016 I was on a tour to Japan and we got to go to Disneyland. The day before I had a fight with my friends so I avoided them that day and just toured Disneyland on my own for like 6 hours. It was a fucking amazing time.

I spent my senior year in college studying in France. Met so many wonderful people (still facebook friends with several), fell in love (didn't work out), drank a lot of wine, spent a lot of late nights with my international friends talking about our lives and the places we were from. It was a fabulous year when my whole life was still ahead of me and promised good things to come.
