• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I would press it to create more awareness about rare diseases although I would feel ashamed, it has to be done.
Would you press it and why ?

Currently, I'm unsure.

It would depend on my reason whether I would like my life-story to go viral or not.

I would press it. A chance to get my story out there, and possibly making someone realize what problems transgender and autistic people go through would actually make my death mean something. I feel naive for thinking that anything would change, though. I'll probably just be forgotten when immediately after.

I definitely would. I would want to spread awareness. I would love the opportunity for people to understand how suicidal people look, we look normal. Yes, you can be successful, educated, and act normal and still be suicidal. Suicide doesn't discriminate. I just wish one day people could see our pain and how much we suffer in silence because they have told us, our attempts aren't normal. Let them see, the medication even if we take it faithfully, sometimes is no power against trauma and other issues.

If I can share my death for people to understand the above, then please, let me story go viral!

There's no use to since people won't understand anyway. If people understood, I'd press that button but I know that they won't since many people are stuck with their pro life delusions

On one hand yes, on the other fuck no.

Yes because like others have stated it could help spread awareness on what others go though and the horrific stuff that leads them to ctb. It may even help a small percentage of families realize the things they do that hurt their loved one. However another part of me feels a lot of anger towards certain people and I wouldn't mind them wondering what they did wrong for the rest of their lives (even though its very obvious). Also because it's the internet I know people won't take it very seriously anyways and use it as an opportunity to make tasteless jokes.

No, I'd rather not impose sorrow stories on other people as they may already be sad themselves. It's better to encourage people to come to their own conclusions about their sufferings and dealings in life, as people themselves are naturally selfish and their own "story" is the most important one. Letting people reach their own conclusions also helps them think about their life choices, where they came from, and how they reached to where they are currently in their predicament also.

No, I don't think my life story is unique or compelling enough to raise awareness about any issues in society, and I don't think people would empathise too much with my life story out of all the other millions of cases of people who've CTB. Also don't want people I know to know my whole damn life story because eugh, they sure as hell wouldn't hold much empathy for me.

I would want people to know. Writing suicide notes is so difficult -- it's so hard to articulate how much I care about the people I love and give them the reassurances they need. I thought about writing thousands upon thousands of words for other people to read, but I don't think I can provide them the comfort they need. While I'm not so sure about going viral, I would like there to be a way to have my story -- the important parts that explain how I became the way that I am -- to be brought forward for loved ones and even for some people that I am no longer close with. I guess what I really want is a way to give people answers without having to put it together myself. Perhaps, a different author could string together my thoughts better than I ever could.

As a big problem with me and my psyche is how I was raised, I would love to broadcast my life. I would hope it would serve as a lesson for parents to not raise their kids the way I was raised and for kids to see the signs and avoid making the same mistakes I did.

No, I'm a very private person and I want to remain that way in death.

This has always been my worry when I die - people will talk shit about me (abusers) and change what really happened to me, call me a liar and all sorts - and others will believe them - can't exactly defend myself when I'm dead, can I?

That's such an interesting idea. I'm so tempted to say 'yes'. It would expose the (suspected) narcissist that caused me to feel like this to begin with. Maybe there is a part of me that wants retribution.

I think more though, I want the people who supported them, which directly made things worse for me to know the full truth one day. My ideal would be for them to be 10 years old and have to deal with them.

But, no. I don't think it's a good idea to poke a bear. I think that kind of exposure and humiliation would just make them turn on some other poor sod. Plus, there are things I've done in life I feel deeply ashamed of. I probably do deserve to be exposed for them also.

But, regardless, I doubt many people would be all that interested! Asides from an initial shocked response from a few perhaps. Plus, my reasons for wanting out now are more just to get away from the daily grind of life- which isn't going to even make sense to the majority I would think. Plus, it would be incredibly boring to witness.

Fluff it I would press the button cus I am desperate for attention even if I am dead and whether that attention is good or bad cus I would want people to be empathetic to me but I also deserve hate as well.

In the last two years, I went through quite some bureaucratic hurdles and missing support from supposedly supportive people in the workplace, and those have greatly contributed to me becoming more stressed and worn out, and ultimately thinking of CTB. I wrote to the press about one of those issues, but it was not picked up by them, unfortunately. And I can't report the things that went wrong at the workplace to authorities because they'd figure out it was me. Therefore, hitting the button sounds like a good idea to me now. While there are many things I'd rather not have people find out about me, I guess getting the other things known to a wider audience would be worth the sacrifice.

I think yes to raise awareness and reduce stigma around lgbtq issues, religious trauma, high masking autism, depression, chronic pain, sexual assault, etc.

I voted no. This is because while in theory it would be nice to have people know the pain and suffering that I went through, and while whatever happens won't really be relevant to me (as I would be dead, non-sentient, and thus not be able to experience the aftermath), I would certainly not wish to have my death 'propagandized' by pro-lifers for their ill, bad-faith policies and interests.
