"a cult" is not the definition of a healthy religious community. Look up documentaries on cults and you'll see you really don't want to be in one.
If you want to join a religious community however you can go to any church near you and start learning about theology and philosophy yourself if that's what you feel you need.

why do you need a God to look up to? if you need a place where people treat you like family and care about you.. Religion is perfect ( cult vibes all the way ), or just join a hobby club you like, you'll meet family. You don't need to die to find purpose, whilst youre alive not being a dick is a puurrty good rule. (making the world a better place ) That's some good purpose right there. Be what you want to see, be a place for people to feel comfortable and others will follow.

Scientology would love someone like you. Jonestown is your ideal, but I don't know of any of those these days.

Far healthier just to join a church group or something but each to their own.

Aim higher, start one!
No but I do get that feeling of wanting to just be led on, to be desperate for community and acceptance. Whatever fills that void and lack of meaning. Cults can do that, superficially, but you'd still end up having to mask and put as much effort in just convincing yourself that that void is really being filled. If you've been in one you probably know there is a strong element of that. You know its not real, for a lot of people its just a cheap bandaid for overwhelming desperation, which is very real. So I get it and I feel you, but I'd really recommend you try other groups of people. You can join a church or a club. You can find a sort of family out there that would love and accept you without having to sacrifice your individuality. It's harder than simply joining a predatory group, but in the end it is worth it and quite better. Lots of hugs at ya <333

I joined a Lutheran Church 3 years ago and it's basically become my life. I love my sisters and brothers in Christ, and I love participating in it. The difference being of course that it's easy for me because I actually believe in God. So, I don't know if that's what you're looking for.

I guess when I see "How can I join a cult" my immediate thought is, why would anyone want to.
I'm pretty sure that there are many more conventional religious groups who would offer involvement and a welcome to any enquirers. I've got no religious background, really, however as an outsider the Catholic Church always seem to have a lot of "side activities" you can be involved with. As do the Mormons.
Best wishes in finding a group which will meet your needs.

It doesn't sound crazy. I also want to join a cult.
Maybe Scientology or Jehovah witness?
Or look on Facebook groups

Never join Scientology, my advice. Been three times to their headquarters, last two just to mess with them. But they don't get enough shit. And they get a lot.

If you are up for cults sure go at it, have a blast, good times getting out of them later. Other cults have some decency, a respect for the cult experience™, you can at least get that.

Scientology though... Have you ever worked for a giant out of touch corporation? Picture that job experience. Triple it. Make it weirder. That's it, that's the experience you are getting. It is pretty much employment + They are getting paid By you (and a lot) + crackpot psychology. Do you like therapy? would you prefer it if they just blabbered nonsense? forever?
It's those two combined just to torture you and squeeze you out of every penny. Dumb to an unbelievable extent in its sci-fi theory. You can get a way better experience from some bearded guy in a tent in a desert and like 4 followers.

That's my scientology rant of the day. work for apple instead or smth but just... don't

You cannot join a cult like a club, you first have to belive in something. Your wording make me belive, that you know that all gods are invented by humans. It would be least self-deception to join the Cthulhu Cult.
