Bathrobe belt broke - damn!Has anyone tried using a bathrobe-belt or necktie? Any thoughts on whether these would be good to use or not?
I'm going to hang a sheet infront of my bedroom door from the inside with a note to not come in and to call the police instead. at that point it's up to them,Anyone have any suggestions for a good spot to do a partial suspension hanging? I don't want to do it at home where someone I know would be the one to find me.
I'm noticing a lot of people say this… that it gets "dark in the eyes" but for some reason I don't get the darkness at all when I practice with my hands. I DO However, get distorted hearing almost every time I do this, almost as if I were entering another dimension. I actually LOVE THE FEELING it gives me throughout my entire body when I let go! It's such a RUSH of endorphins that my whole body gets tingly and I feel sooooooo gooooooood for a couple minutes when I release my hands. I took me a very long time and research to find my carotid arteries, but once I FINALLY found them, I KNOW that partial will be my method without a doubt. Even though it took me some time to find my carotids, I don't think this method is for everyone because I'm noticing a LOT of people who can NEVER find their carotids. I believe suicide is a very personal experience for each individual. I don't believe there's a perfect method that works for everyone. I just know that finding my carotid arteries took literally MONTHS to find, practically multiple times each week. Once I FINALLY found them, I actually got excited at how EASY it was to find them again and again, almost always on the first try now. For whatever reason, I can't always do it back to back or my head just fills with pressure and I have to stop ASAP when that happens. The carotids do not cause that uncomfortable pressure AT ALL. I only get that awful feeling if I try too many times in a row. I can only try once every several hours it seems. This is just me though. I strongly believe that the method is VERY personal to the individual. Also, for me anyway, suicide is a process, not an impulse. I want to be at peace (unconscious) during the actual process while others want to feel the flames on their skin while they're going out. To each his own. lolGood day to all
I've read all about partial hanging, but I haven't been able to achieve a result.
As I understand it, it is necessary to bind the rope somewhere on 1/3 of the neck in order to block the blood flow, not breathing
When I tried it all on myself, it went dark in my eyes for just a couple of seconds, I thought I was already losing consciousness. But after a couple of seconds, everything was back to normal, and a second attempt no longer even causes darkening in the eyes.
Is it necessary, in addition to the pressure of the rope on the artery, to do additional actions? I came across a message that it is necessary to hyperventilate the lungs on my knees, then get up, tighten the loop and "tighten the abs, as if trying to exhale with your nose and mouth closed"
I don't want to bother with Sn in other ways, because in theory, partial hanging is not so much worse. However, I do not fully understand how this is done. I hope someone will explain)

I've only been able to find them using my hands. I haven't gotten as far as using a rope yet. I'm just practicing losing consciousness FIRST with my hands. My next step will be a rope or belt, but I'm still just trying to get over the fear of simply losing consciousness. I saw a video and that did it for me! I'll try to find it and post it if I can. Basically, I take my left hand and using my thumb and first two fingers ONLY (not squeezing the entire neck, just the carotids ONLY) and use a V shape and gently squeeze in and up with my chin pushed slightly back first. Before I do this, I lay down while taking a deep breath then I suddenly sit up and do the neck thing with my hands. I get a HUGE RUSH all over my entire body when I release my carotids. I'm finally becoming hopeful. This is my personal method though. We all have different body types and for whatever reason, I finally learned how to find that "sweet spot", so this is my method that works for me, but it doesn't mean it necessarily works for everyone.What position do you use? Guide to partially suspended hanging:
Warning: Don't try this method unless you're totally sure that:
a) you want to kill yourself
b) that you won't be found for at least 30 minutes after you attempt.
This method is very lethal and quick (quick from your perspective
anyway, as you black out within seconds), but if you're found in time
and 'saved' you can end up with serious brain damage and/or be left a
vegetable.
Why partial suspension?
Because full suspension seems to me to be unnecessary and creates
difficulties. First of all you need to find a place which would hold
your entire weight, which isn't easy, and also you need a stronger
ligature, which isn't always easy to find either. There's nothing
wrong with full suspension, but it may not be a viable method for
everyone, especially if you're looking to use everyday materials from
around the home.
By partial suspension I mean that you hang yourself around the neck
(specifically the carotid artery), and push downwards while kneeling.
This should create enough downward pressure on the ligature to tighten
it and close the carotid artery and stop the blood flow to your brain.
All you need is 3 kilograms of pressure to do this, which isn't much
at all.
Also, with full suspension your entire body weight is pressurizing
your neck, and this would probably be more than enough to not only cut
off the blood supply to your brain, but break your neck as well. I'm
not too sure if that's a good or a bad thing. I do know though, that
statistically people who've attempted via hanging have more often been
found kneeling and partially suspended than being fully suspended.
Where is the carotid artery?
Before you start you have to know this. If you place your hand around
the middle of your neck, around your Adam's apple, with one thumb on
one side and all fingers on the other, you should feel a strong pulse
and heartbeat. If you close your hand now fairly firmly, you'll
probably make yourself pass out. It might be a good idea to try this
to make sure you've got the right spot.
What type of ligature?
You need a ligature that's strong, but not too elastic. It doesn't
have to be very long, 1 meter or more would be plenty. I'd advise
against nylon rope, string, fishing wire, etc.
Neckties on the other hand, are perfect Smile .
It may also be a good idea to lubricate the ligature with soap. This
would help the noose tighten even quicker, especially if you're using
a rough ligature such as a rope. Lubricating it in this way will
increase the friction once you push your head down and tighten the
noose, and could make it a little more effective and faster.
What type of knot?
A slipknot. It's one of the most basic knots around, and you make it
with one end of your ligature. The other end should go around your
hanging place.
Many people have the misguided idea that a hangman's knot should be
used, but they're wrong. A hangman's knot is for a completely
different purpose, and won't work for this method.
Where should I hang?
You should hang from a support which will hold part of your weight.
You should test this by tying the loose end of your ligature around
the support several times, sticking your hand (NOT your head) in the
noose and pushing down with it. If the noose holds, you're fine. If
not, then you'll have to find another spot.
A great and easy place to hang is from the thick horizontal metal bar
which you find in wardrobes in most homes.
When should I do it?
When no one else will be in the same area, for at least 30 minutes.
You lose consciousness within seconds but your body doesn't completely
die for around 15-20 minutes. The extra 10-15 minutes is for
preparation time and just in case.
How?
When you're completely ready, kneel down, stick your head in the
noose, position it around the carotid artery and push downwards with
your head.

I guess it is full hanging, and in this case the survival instict hinders you to step from the stool. This is at least my problem. When you hang you passed the point of no return and you outsmarted your survival instinct.Do you also have a survival instinct?

A rope at least as thick as your thumb should be strong and fairly comfortable.Please can somebody tell me what type of rope to use? How many mm should it be? I'm hearing 12mm or 14mm? I've also heard braided polypropylene rope is good for this but if you have a better suggestion or know more about this please let me know! Not sure if it matters or not but I probably weigh around 220 lbs.

I heard a story of someone breaking their doorknob doing full suspension hanging. I recommend you look outside the house for anchor points. Observe your surroundings carefully, you'd be surprised how many valid anchor points are available outside. For example, you can use the handrail of a bridge or a tree.Sorry if this has already been asked, but if there aren't any strong bars or beams around the home, can this be done using a doorknob?

Could anyone give me their thoughts on my
setup plan? (FSH) I have very limited access to anchor points inside my home, and I don't feel like hanging myself outside due to the fear of being caught.
For my setup I'm using a 10mm mountain climbing rope, I'm thinking of slipping one end over a door, tying it to a small 2kg hand weight using a snuggle hitch (this would keep the rope in place). Then on the other side of the door I'll make a slipknot noose right at the top of the door.
The door is 2m and I'm around 170cm, no more than 50kg for reference.
The idea is that I'll close the door, use a step stool to get my head through the noose and drop off.
I haven't brought the rope yet, since I'll only be buying it on the week that I plan to ctb. I feel like this would hold my weight though as I've basically tested the plan out with other ligature.
However, I'm worried if I could actually pull this off without something going wrong.
Could anyone give me some advice or their thoughts on this?
