• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

This is the partial myth. You need more pressure on the neck to pass out.
With full, you get that pressure unless your feet are touching the floor.
With partial, you need to lean into it and hold it until you do pass out.
Pressure is needed regardless how you are doing it.

I've tried that :( I've tried everything. I've put so much pressure on my neck it's crazy. I've experienced symptoms such as hearing loss, whole body going numb, some convulsions etc but have never even came close to passing out. I survived full once and hung there for 30 seconds without losing consciousness. It was the most painful thing I've ever experienced. I was clawing at my neck and eventually got down by climbing onto a shelf below me and lifting my head out of the rope. I've tried every anchor point: rods in closet, shower heads, door knobs, list goes on and on

I want to know if I can use a robe belt and do it (the hanging) from a closed door (putting the robe in between a closed door or closing the door on it).

Interesting observation from my multiple test runs - I get the instant tingling and "wobbliness" feeling only if the compression is at my BACK sides of the neck. Knot in front, pressure on the back, working best if I use wide belt or a scarf.
I`m sure that it heavily depends on how we are individually build inside there.

Hanging doesn't seem to be that great method. The testimonies are very contradictory. For some it doesn't cause much pain and for others it's like going through hell. The only certain thing is that among the cheap and rapidly applied methods it is modestly lethal.

What are the most common reasons that a partial hanging fails? Apart from being discovered by others which in my case is not a risk.

Two main reasons:
1 not applying enough pressure to pass out
2 ease of escape

In case 1 I assume the failed attempt simply results in basically no damage just the conscious stop of the attempt due to the perceived failure/difficulty of the method.
How does 2 cause failure? Your neck slips out of it after you've passed out or something else?

1. People back out after a little pressure due to not passing out or discomfort.
2. You can stand up or shift position and escape.

Any thoughts on what is better between a slipknot and a bowline knot?

Silly question, but I assume the tingling and wobbliness is what we're going for? I've had test runs where I had the "bad" head explosion feeling and the "good" numbess/tingling in my extremities. Does the wobbliness mean that unconsciousness is imminent?

But what happens when you pass out? Can ligature come up done??instand or kneel and am about to pass out within like 5-7 seconds but then stand back up bc I'm like what happens??: do you fall over? Do you just hang there? Why is this so fucking hard would train be safer bet?

People have involuntary moments. These could cause the rope to come loose. Or the can cause you to shift position and reduce the pressure enough to wake up.

2 is because of survival instincts mainly, you will get freaked out even though you 100% wanna die and would try again but get the same feelings of just giving another chance to leave. It may also happen if the way you are hanging allows you to move around and lose the noose
So I've tried to hang myself 100+ times. Mainly partial but a few times full. Honestly I try multiple times a day every day. Today I was trying again, technically partial because the tip of my toes touched the floor. Didn't pass out (never have) but I did have a very weird breathing sound. Has anyone experienced that? Does that mean unconsciousness is coming soon? Normally I'll stay in position when hanging for up to 30 seconds, never lost consciousness. It's so frustrating because so many people die by partial hanging on the first try.
The problem is you TRY partial hanging not actually do it, i can tell that you subconsciously avoid the carotids and it might not be your fault, i guess if you had the enough courage and desire to end it, you wouldn't had to attempt even 10 let alone 100

I have a question.
Anyone who clamps the arteries with their hands, do you feel the arteries stop throbbing?

Personally, I don't have the strength to press on the arteries so that they stop pulsating.

Or here's another question:
Has anyone touched their arteries through the rope when doing a partial hanging and holding the other end of the rope with their other hand?

If you feel like you're going to lose consciousness, do you feel like your arteries stop throbbing?

I have a question, I'm testing various partial setups, using slipknot and a thin microfibre cloth as a padding. But in every position on higher pressure on the trachea I got the feeling like I'm about to vomit and I'm standing up and coughing. I'm I doing something wrong or is there any way to avoid that feeling?

I'm trying to hang but it's so complicated and I can't find a good place to do it. It seems like hanging off a tree is my best bet I'm really terrible with hands on things and like I said it's difficult for me to find a place to be alone

There are many good questions about locations, materials, technique and type (F or P).
Please seach the threads. A little research goes a long way.

I suggest 1/2 inch double braided dock line.
If you cannot find it, any rope that does not stretch that is about as thick as your thumb.
Avoid the course poly rope. (often yellow) it does not hold knots well.

It was in Evelyn's guide. I bought it and thought it was a good string.

I thought polyester would be fine, I think it was recommended to me on this forum. I want to use it for full hanging. It's 12mm

Je pensais que le polyester serait parfait, je crois qu'il m'a été recommandé sur ce forum. Je veux l'utiliser pour une suspension complète. Il fait 12 mm
I have the same. Everything is ready. But for the moment I don't manage to break SI.

That is good rope.
The poly tope I was mentioning is not as well made. I am not sure what you would use it for. I had to secure dome warehouse racks with it before installation. It was crap. It did not hold knots well and was difficult to use. 1026322

What do you think about such a belt? It is flat, flexible, not rigid.
Or should the rope be solid and not flat, voluminous?
