Hello everyone

For hanging by total suspension, do i have to use a slipknot or a hangman's knot ?

Because i saw a lot o pics of hangman's knot with total suspension on the first pages of the thread.

Thanks in advance.

Use a Noose Knot with a stopper knot. See this post of mine and the ones below that in the thread: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/how-to-hang-yourself.1183/post-2934349

The Noose Knot is the same thing as a Slipknot. The only difference is which way you tie it, thus which end becomes the long end and the short end. In other words, which part of the rope will slide, and which one will be fixed.

I wouldn't use the Hangman's Knot. That doesn't slide easily, so it's not ideal.

I wouldn't call it an "improved" version. Basically, the Noose Knot and the Slipknot are the same things, apart from the direction in which you tie it. The only difference is which end is the sliding one and which end is fixed.
