What time is it in your part of the world? And I think so , this lock down is starting to hit home, I was very un-bothered about it, but starting to struggle due to every fucking company prioritising over 70's and the very vulnerable only.
Pissed off as have a larger family, but supermarkets are either sold of out products or limiting 2 per customer, It's fine Ill just turn to rum so I can feed the ferals!

Yes, and martial law at some stage. Unfortunately, too many people are fucking stupid and think the rules don't apply to them because it's inconvenient. That's why they need to be forced. Nature doesn't give a shit about inconvenience or us being offended by having our liberties removed.
There does however, come a point where individual survival takes priority over the well being of everyone else. And then the rules rightly go out the window, so they have to be very careful how they enforce those rules and just be reasonable.
The police in the UK are trying to figure out how to reasonably enforce lock down in an unprecedented situation that they have no experience of. They are under-staffed, under risk and trying to figure it out as they go along. So mistakes are going to be made in all areas, by us, the police, the governments, all of us.
I do believe that many people still are not taking this seriously enough though. Mass gatherings, unnecessary travel, panic buying ARSEHOLES. Wake the fuck up. These people are the real potatoes. But, there are some real stories of people who are putting themselves out and risking their health to help people that are really vulnerable too and that's so cool, restores some of my flagging faith in humanity.

Well, we just got told to not combine stuff from different genres. Fantasy is essentially the Disney movie where good stays good and bad stays bad, and good wins in the end. (Hell, even Disney movies don't do that any more.) The defining characteristic of fantasy is apparently supposed to be magic - which is different from sci-fi in some undefinable yet totally certain way.
Yeah, I don't know if my teacher is going to like any of my stories. We have another round of this tomorrow evening. And I have to attend classes because otherwise she'll not let me send in the assignment. Devil save me.
Sorry, their attitude is bollox. I wouldn't lower myself to read a book like that. We all know life is more complex than that. Good fiction contains all of it, all of life, whatever the genre. Magic, realism, fantasy, science, drama, tragedy. All wrapped up with convincing three dimensional characterisation.
Fair enough, passing exams and such is an exercise in figuring out what they want to hear - do that if you have to, but I'm sure you won't listen to that crap about keeping genres separate. I'm not even sure if it's possible.

Me neither. My drama has aspects of comedy, my fantasy has aspects of drama, my comedy is pretty much the only thing that's strictly comedic (at this point, that's just low effort writing).
The only notable thing about my stories now is that I'm writing queer characters. I guess I've jumped aboard the representation train, having seen how good it felt to see myself represented by Todd on Bojack.

Yeah... there was a point where I Was drinking well... a lot... like.... I spent up to $60 a week on hard liquor (was a decent % of my paycheck), was on first name basis with a place, CHANGED places just so it didn't look bad, and my only thing was "why am I not even out of it?"
